The Ajax system's fire barrier is wireless fire detectors that instantly alert about smoke detection, rapid temperature rise or dangerous CO concentration level. As part of the Ajax security system, fire detectors alert users and a security company via built-in and connected sirens, mobile apps, SMS, or calls. Multiple detectors connected to the hub can activate an alarm in 20 seconds synchronously if at least one of them is triggered, which allows to eliminate the risk of missing an alarm. Having a built-in 85 dB buzzer, Ajax fire detectors are always ready to report danger, regardless of power supply or control panel connection.

Features of Ajax fire detectors

Only real threats considered

Ajax reaches an entirely new level of technology in residential fire safety with a patented smoke chamber that is dustproof and impenetrable for insects. A dual-spectrum optical sensor and a proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm guarantee the speed and accuracy of smoke detection without false alarms. For heat alarms, FireProtect 2 is equipped with two class A1R thermistors to detect smokeless fire threats: they are located outside the enclosure to eliminate detection delays. A built-in chemical CO sensor detects dangerous carbon monoxide concentrations at the level of 50 ppm before even the first signs of poisoning occur. So FireProtect 2 is ready to detect a fire as fast as possible, even if it starts imperceptibly.

Alarming about danger

Ajax fire detectors are equipped with a powerful 85 dB siren. Detectors use impossible-to-ignore tones with different patterns to indicate an alarm or event, so it’s easy to recognize the type of threat and react accordingly. All fire detectors can synchronously notify about the fire: it only takes 20 seconds to activate wireless interconnection. As a part of the Ajax system, alarms also come with critical alerts from Ajax apps on smartphones and PC, notifying users and a security company about danger.

Compliance with strict fire safety standards

Ajax's product portfolio includes a wide range of fire detectors with different sensors and batteries option to cover every market need. Detectors are available with heat, smoke and carbon monoxide sensors separately or combined in one enclosure. Each device can operate for 10 years with sealed batteries or up to 7 with replaceable ones. Everything meets the most modern fire safety standards: Ajax fire detectors comply with EN 14604:2005/AC:2008, EN 50291-1:2018.

Reliable wireless technologies

The Ajax system uses two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. It supports block cipher encryption and device authentication on every session to prevent sabotage, spoofing, or data theft. Automatic power adjustment makes it energy efficient by not using the maximum power of radio transmitters in system devices on a regular basis. It is also more stable, using less noisy radio frequencies. Ajax hubs use frequency hopping to protect against radio interference and signal interception. The system automatically changes frequency within a band and notifies the security company and users about the jamming.
