The facility brings together showrooms, storage areas, offices, and outdoor zones with valuable inventory and equipment.
Challenge
Securing the entire premises of a car dealership, day and night
Puerto Madryn car dealership combines multiple high-risk areas: showrooms with vehicles on display, service bays, parts storage, administrative offices, and open outdoor zones such as parking areas and vehicle lots. Each area has distinct security requirements, and any gap in coverage can result in significant financial losses.
Security needs at the dealership also vary by time of day. During business hours, the priority is staff safety. Personnel need a fast, reliable way to call for help if a threatening situation arises. After hours, the focus shifts to detecting and verifying intrusions remotely, so monitoring station operators can respond immediately without wasting time on false alarms.
Solution
A wireless intrusion protection system with photo alarm verification and panic buttons
Bayron proposed Ajax for its wireless flexibility, fast deployment without extensive infrastructure works, and professional-grade monitoring capabilities. Over 85 wireless devices were installed across the Puerto Madryn branch, all operating within a single unified system.
At the core of the system is Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, the control panel managing all connected devices. Given the scale of the facility, a ReX 2 Jeweller range extender was added to ensure a stable signal reaches every corner of the premises.
The outdoor area and vehicle lots are protected by two types of motion detectors. MotionProtect Outdoor Jeweller devices provide wide coverage across the perimeter. MotionCam Outdoor Jeweller detectors add a visual layer at critical points. When triggered, they activate an alarm and capture a series of photos, transmitting them to Bayron's monitoring station within seconds.
GlassProtect Jeweller detectors ensure indoor protection, triggering an alarm at the sound of breaking glass before a window is even fully breached. MotionCam Jeweller devices provide photo alarm verification across the showroom, offices, and service areas.
When an alarm is activated, StreetSiren Jeweller outdoor sirens are triggered instantly, deterring intruders and alerting the surrounding area.
For daytime security, Button Jeweller panic buttons are installed at staff positions throughout the facility. If a threatening situation arises during working hours, any employee can silently trigger an alarm, which is immediately transmitted to Bayron's monitoring station.
The dealership staff control the system on-site using KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller devices installed at main access points throughout the facility. For more flexibility, Ajax SpaceControl Jeweller key fobs allow individual employees to arm and disarm the system from anywhere on the premises.
All events are monitored in real time by Bayron. Staff at Autos del Sur S.A․ can change the system security mode remotely or on-site and receive instant alarm notifications via an Ajax app.
