Ajax Systems is thrilled to announce the release of EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller. It is a wireless fire detector with heat and smoke sensors offering best-in-class detection accuracy. EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller complements the Ajax fire detector range, adding flexibility to fire protection system design within EN54 Line. From now on, the product will be available for distribution.

The detector delivers speedy and accurate fire detection. A patented smoke chamber features a dual-spectrum optical sensor that analyzes air particles and responds only to smoke. Then, the proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm verifies the data collected by the sensor and triggers an alarm when the pattern indicates a real fire.

In addition, the device tracks temperature changes using two built-in thermistors. They detect a rapid temperature rise or threshold exceedance and trigger an alarm instantly. Also, heat detection mode can be adjusted to meet project requirements: select an appropriate one — A1, A1R, A1S, B, BR, BS, C, CR, CS, or a fixed temperature1 — in Ajax apps.

EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller supports multiple detection modes to adapt to different site requirements. In the default combined detection mode, one sensor is selected as primary, while the sensitivity of the secondary one is dynamically adjusted. As signs of fire develop, the detector lowers the activation threshold of the second sensor to confirm the event. This mode enables fast and reliable alarm verification while reducing false alarms caused by non-fire factors, such as steam or temporary temperature changes. In independent detection mode, both smoke and heat sensors operate separately, so an alarm is triggered as soon as either sensor detects signs of fire, ensuring the fastest response. Additionally, the detector can operate in smoke-only or heat-only mode.

EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller comes with built-in radio communication based on proprietary Jeweller technology. The device connects directly to EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller at distances of up to 1,700 m — no additional modules or wiring required.

The detector is ready to operate straight out of the box, ensuring quick setup. The SmartBracket mounting panel allows installation without disassembling the enclosure. The device is added to the system via a QR code scan. The following setup and configuration can be done in the intuitive Ajax app.

EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller is addressable, enabling real-time state updates. This allows responsible users to see every system event and quickly identify faults. If needed, they can contact the site owner for maintenance to improve both safety and operational efficiency.
