Where do I need to install the FireProtect detector?
Standards and installation requirements for fire detectors may vary by region. Prior to installation, we recommend that you read and understand the regulatory documents applicable in your region or contact a specialist.
Installation of a smoke detector at the highest point of the ceiling at a minimum distance of one meter from the source of lighting and the exhaust ventilation pipe is recommended. If ceiling beams run across the ceiling and protrude 30 cm from the ceiling level, then at least one detector should be placed between every pair of beams.
What is Smoke Sensor Self Test
Test is available at menu:
Ajax app → Devices
→ FireProtect / FireProtect Plus → Settings
→ Smoke Sensor Self Test
Detector and smoke chamber test. As a result, the Ajax application will receive a notification specifying whether the detector and its smoke chamber are OK and whether cleaning is required.
