Battery life estimation for Hub BP Jeweller now in Ajax PRO Desktop

Ajax Systems introduces Estimated battery life, a new feature for Hub BP Jeweller. Monitoring and installation companies can now check the remaining operating time of newly installed internal batteries in Ajax PRO Desktop. Instead of relying on fixed replacement intervals or reacting to unexpected battery depletion, they can now proactively plan maintenance, prioritize service visits, reduce unnecessary battery replacements, and minimize the risk of system downtime across large deployments.

How the new feature works

The Estimated battery life feature turns system data into a practical maintenance forecast. The calculations consider hub configuration, battery parameters, and their operating conditions, in particular:

Battery Power Saver mode
full-function mode
device polling interval
Wake-up via SMS settings
ambient temperature
battery type
hardware and firmware versions.

The system displays the estimate as the number of remaining months and automatically recalculates it on a regular basis.

The feature is available in Hub BP Jeweller settings in Ajax PRO Desktop. After installing a new or recharged battery, an authorized user confirms the action in the Estimated battery life setting and specifies the battery’s capacity. This allows the system to start calculating the operating time for the new pack.
