The detector is designed to ensure accurate smoke detection over time. A dustproof and insect-resistant smoke chamber features a dual-spectrum optical sensor. It uses blue and infrared LEDs to measure the concentration of combustion products and the size of their volatile particles. The HazeFlow 2 algorithm then analyzes the collected data to distinguish smoke from false triggers, such as vapor or steam. If the analysis indicates a real fire, the detector instantly raises an alarm.

FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller is equipped with two A1R-class thermistors to detect smokeless fires. Positioned outside the enclosure, the thermistors immediately register if the temperature rises by 50 °F within a minute or exceeds a threshold of 147 °F. This design ensures the fastest possible response, even when a threat grows gradually.

Enhanced wireless interconnection
To spread an alarm across the facility as quickly as possible, FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller supports primary and fallback1 interconnection with other on-site fire detectors. The primary one operates via a hub: the detectors alert the hub to a threat, which then activates the sirens of all fire detectors on-site. The process takes just 20 seconds — three times faster than standards require. If hub communication is lost, the fallback interconnection takes over. The initiating fire detector directly communicates with other devices, raising the alarm across the system within a minute. Even in the worst-case scenario, people on-site are warned and have time to act.

It features a unique smoke chamber that does not require cleaning, a dual-spectrum sensor that distinguishes smoke from steam, and thermistors that quickly react to burning synthetic materials. Its sophisticated software minimizes false alarms, and it meets the most modern fire safety standards.The device operates through steam, dust, and time and has a well-thought-out design, mounting, and in-app settings, which makes installation straightforward and quick.The smoke detection system uses optical sensors with infrared LEDs. The LEDs emit light with different wavelengths, which allows the detector to determine the size of the volatile particles and react only to smoke. The smoke chamber is protected from dust, dirt, and insects, and the optical system is designed so that non-volatile particles or insects cannot be in two beams simultaneously and cause a false alarm.FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) also detects a rapid temperature rise with two built-in thermistors that are located outside the detector for faster threat detection. Two models of FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) are available — with replaceable and sealed batteries. Detectors with replaceable batteries operate for up to 7 years with pre-installed CR123A batteries. After their discharge, the batteries can be replaced with new ones. The model with non-replaceable batteries works from built-in lithium batteries for at least 10 years.
