Ajax Cloud Signaling
Feature in Ajax PRO Desktop for connecting Ajax systems to third-party monitoring software via the Ajax Cloud server
Why Ajax Cloud Signaling
Effortless integration
No need to set up servers, configure ports, or purchase additional equipment. Everything works the moment Ajax PRO Desktop is installed.
More than alarm transmission
The monitoring software can receive not only alarms and events but also photo verification of alarms, camera images, and the panic button's coordinates.
Global protocol compatibility
Supports SIA DC-09 (ADM-CID), the industry standard for monitoring software worldwide, and other popular protocols. Enables effortless integration with most CMS platforms.
Worldwide support access
Ajax technical support is available 24/7 and provides assistance with installation and integration in your language.

Compatible monitoring software
Ajax Cloud Signaling converts the notifications received from the Ajax space into standardized event protocols supported by the third-party monitoring software.
What monitoring software can Ajax system be connected to
How alarms and events reach the monitoring software
Ajax Cloud Signaling enables communication between Ajax systems and third-party monitoring software. It receives encrypted notifications from devices, decrypts them, and converts the data into a protocol format compatible with monitoring platforms.
Events are delivered directly from Ajax Cloud, eliminating the need to install additional utilities or host local infrastructure. The setup is managed entirely through Ajax PRO Desktop. Once Ajax Cloud Signaling is activated, the transmission process works stably.
Ajax Cloud Signaling supports the transmission of system events, alarms, photos, camera snapshots, and GPS coordinates from the in-app panic button. It also allows configuration of polling intervals to meet specific monitoring station or certification requirements.

Adjustable polling intervals

Simplified dual-path signaling setup
Ajax's approach transforms a traditionally hardware-heavy, time-consuming process into a quick and seamless experience by introducing Ajax Ultra DP, ready-to-use configuration presets (DP2, DP3, and DP4). This service allows installation and monitoring companies to set up and adjust signaling parameters directly in Ajax PRO apps with just a few steps. No additional equipment or intricate wiring is needed, as the built-in communicator in all Ajax hubs supports connection to cellular networks via SIM cards.

Compliance with DP2, DP3, and DP4 requirements
Quick and easy setup with no external equipment and complex wiring
More than alarm monitoring
NEW
Visual verification from Ajax cameras
Ajax video devices strengthen intrusion protection by adding visual context to alarms. They can respond to alarms triggered by any device in the system or operate independently using built-in motion detection and AI recognition.
In addition, an Ajax service enables transmission of a series of photos1 to the monitoring software when Ajax video devices detect motion or recognize objects. This reduces false alarms, avoids unnecessary dispatches, and allows detection of threats before an intrusion system activates an alarm.

Photo verification from Ajax MotionCam detectors
Ajax MotionCam detectors capture a sequence3 of images when an alarm is triggered. The threat can be detected by a MotionCam's built-in PIR sensor or other Ajax devices. These photos are transmitted to a monitoring software, so operators can immediately check if the threat was real. Photo verification significantly enhances operational efficiency by reducing rapid response unit (RRU) dispatches caused by false alarms. In non-critical cases, operators can quickly contact the client to confirm that the situation is safe and under control.

In-app panic button
When the panic button is activated in an Ajax app, monitoring software receives not only the event code but also the exact coordinates of the client's smartphone. Location data enables operators to dispatch the RRU to the client. This feature extends protection beyond the premises: companies can expand security services by offering personal safety packages.

Easy monitoring starts here
Professionals can connect new spaces to monitoring software receivers with just a few steps in Ajax PRO apps. Moreover, Ajax system users can send monitoring requests directly from their app by choosing the provider from the list of available companies to connect to.

Ajax Cloud Signaling ensures accurate event delivery by enabling customization of default alarm and event codes. This helps align Ajax system events with the specific requirements of monitoring software.

PRO users can control which events a monitoring software receives from an Ajax system. For example, outdoor intrusion, fire, or leak alarms can be filtered out if a monitoring company does not provide a response service for such events.

FAQ
How to get started?
To start using Ajax Cloud Signaling, install the latest version of Ajax PRO Desktop. A company account is required to configure the feature.
How to configure Ajax Cloud Signaling
Which protocols are supported by Ajax Cloud Signaling?
Ajax Cloud Signaling supports multiple protocols for transmitting events to a monitoring software:
- SurGard (Contact ID)
- Sentinel
- SoftGuard
- Micro Key
- Manitou
- MASXML
How is the data transmitted?
Ajax Cloud Signaling processes all the data directly via Ajax Cloud and sends it to the monitoring station's receiver.
The engineers at the monitoring station can easily configure the Ajax system's event transmission in the format supported by the station's monitoring software.
Ajax Cloud Signaling allows for fast configuration of connection parameters between Ajax Cloud and monitoring software. There is no need to install extra utility programs on monitoring station's computers.
How does a monitoring software receive photos from Ajax video surveillance devices and MotionCam detectors?
To do so, a monitoring software must support the photo transmission protocols used by Ajax, such as SIA DC-09 (ADM-CID).
Ajax Cloud Signaling supports the transmission of:
- Events and alarms from Ajax video devices triggered by motion detection — by default.
- A series of photos when Ajax video devices detect motion — if the Ajax Photo Mode service was activated.
Ajax PRO Desktop supports photo verification by MotionCam detectors without additional settings.

Can a monitoring station receive a user's geolocation when the in-app panic button is pressed?
Ajax Cloud Signaling supports the transmission of the smartphone coordinates if the user pressed the panic button in the Ajax Security System mobile app.

Effortless connection and monitoring with Ajax PRO Desktop
Ajax Cloud Signaling is configured using Ajax PRO Desktop, enabling direct delivery of system events from Ajax Cloud to monitoring software.
Ajax PRO Desktop meets the needs of every security business working with Ajax systems. Installation, monitoring, and system configuration — all in one app.
If you use the 32-bit version of Windows OS, or operate on Windows 7, Windows 8, or macOS Catalina (10.15), you will need an earlier version of Ajax PRO Desktop. Please contact our support team via the form or using the contact details in the website footer to receive the download link.
Please note that a 32-bit Windows version does not support the video wall feature, which displays visual data from IP cameras and MotionCam detectors. If the Ajax system includes video surveillance products, we recommend using a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or later and 64-bit Ajax PRO Desktop versions.
Ajax video surveillance devices keep monitoring stations informed with real-time event notifications regardless of service Ajax Photo Mode activation.
Sending a series of photos from Ajax video surveillance devices to third-party monitoring software in case of AI object recognition or motion detection is available as a separate service. Learn more about Ajax Photo Mode.
From 1 to 5 photos, depending on settings.
There are different types of photo verification available: by alarm, scenario, schedule, tamper alarm, masking, arming/disarming, and on demand.
The photo delivery time from Ajax MotionCam detectors to an Ajax hub depends on the image number and resolution selected in the device settings. The delivery time from the hub to the monitoring software depends on the internet speed.
