Meet KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra: the maximum interface clarity now in a wired version

One of the key devices in a security system is a keypad. Traditional keypad models have always been far from ideal. So, we released KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller in 2023. With at-a-glance group and automation control, automatic wake-up, built-in buzzer, authentication with smartphone, Pass, Tag, and various code options, it has raised the bar of convenience in security and automation.

Now, we’re introducing KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra — a wired version boasting Grade 3 certification. As opposed to the wireless device, the operation of this keypad is based on the Fibra communication protocol.

For high-security objects’ managing

Grade 3 and PD 6662:2017 certifications are vital in the security industry for high-risk facilities. These certifications ensure that security devices meet stringent requirements for intrusion detection and prevention, providing peace of mind and enhanced protection against threats. KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra meets these standards, so it’s a perfect solution for ensuring the highest level of security for jewelry and arms stores, banks and financial institutions, ATMs, etc.

Interface tailored to your needs

KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra serves three primary functions: security management, automation device control, and sound notifications about alarms. The device makes it easy for users to monitor each groupʼs security status and change it in one tap if necessary. The separate tab supports up to 6 automation devices or groups for easy automation control.

For authentication, users have the flexibility of choosing:

  • smartphone authentication via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy);
  • Pass cards and Tag key fobs using DESFire® technology;
  • different types of codes.

The keypad provides a tab with panic buttons to notify users and CMS about alarm, fire, or auxiliary events. It also supports a duress code for situations where the user is forced to disarm the system. The built-in buzzer provides sound notifications with different patterns for alarms, door openings, and entry/exit delays. The sound volume can be adjusted via Ajax apps for smartphones or PCs.

Efficient touch: screen features

KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra features a 5-inch touch IPS display with a resolution of 480 × 854 pixels. A high-resolution screen ensures a visually stunning and high-quality image. Also, users can choose between two interface themes: dark and light. This customization allows them to select the theme that best suits their preference or ambient lighting conditions.

To optimize user experience and adapt to different lighting conditions, the device is equipped with an ambient light sensor for automatic backlight adjustment. The screen remains bright during the day while adjusting to be less dazzling at night. A proximity sensor is included for automatic keypad activation when a hand approaches. And with scratch-resistant glass, the keypad always remains impeccable.

Unique wired technology

The device supports a wired connection with the Fibra line, allowing for communication with the hub or module that extends the Fibra line.

KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra features built-in batteries. It is engaged when the keypad is in use, such as when the screen or sound is activated. The charge of other devices connected to this line is not affected. The keypad incorporates an algorithm that minimizes energy consumption while ensuring efficient battery charging. This helps prevent excessive energy usage.

An external 12 V⎓ power supply can be connected to the keypad. When connected, the external 12 V⎓ power supply keeps the device powered up so the screen stays on if the user desires. In case of a power loss, the keypad seamlessly switches to using power from the line and backup batteries.

No loopholes for sabotage

tamper

To protect the transmitted data, Fibra uses block encryption featuring a dynamic key. Each communication session between a hub and a device begins with authentication: unique markers and properties are compared. If at least one parameter fails the verification, a hub ignores the device commands. Therefore, there is no point in tampering or intercepting data.

KeyPad TouchScreen locks itself if an incorrect code is entered consecutively more than three times within a minute. The device regularly exchanges data with the hub, and in the event of a connection loss, the system notifies the security company and users about the incident. With minimal polling settings, it takes 36 seconds to identify communication loss.

Hassle-free installation

With the SmartBracket panel, an installer can effortlessly mount the device on a wall without disassembling the enclosure. The installation kit includes all the necessary fasteners.

installation

The boards with terminals are placed on SmartBracket, preventing any hardware damage during installation. These boards are also removable, simplifying the entire process. To effectively manage cables, channels are integrated within SmartBracket to secure the wires. Furthermore, a locking screw ensures that the keypad is securely fastened onto SmartBracket.

Installers can add the keypad by automatically scanning lines or scanning a QR code, and it immediately has default settings suitable for most cases. After being added to the hub, the device instantly receives system configuration. Thus, when the keypad wakes up, you can immediately view the available groups, operate with them, etc. All testing and configuration can be done remotely using Ajax apps for smartphones or PCs. An installer can work both on behalf of the company and as a sole installer.
