Ajax Systems introduces 12V PSU for NVR, a power supply unit designed to connect the Ajax NVR video recorder to an 8–16 V⎓ power source. The power supply unit is already available for order from authorized Ajax Systems partners.
Uninterrupted video recording
Continuous video recording is easy with Ajax, even in locations with unstable or no electricity. To achieve this, connect NVR to a portable battery or a low-voltage power source using the 12V PSU. It is an electronic board that replaces the standard 110/230 V~ power supply unit within the video recorder enclosure. This enables NVR to operate on a low-voltage power source instead of the facility’s power grid. This setup is ideal for construction sites — whether active or frozen — that require protection of territory, materials, equipment, or critical infrastructure, ensuring non-stop surveillance during power outages.
12V PSU for NVR can operate in two modes:
- Operation within a voltage range of 8–16 V⎓
- Operation within a voltage range of 12.1–16 V⎓

A professional electrician can install the alternative power supply unit into a network video recorder in just about 10 minutes, using a single PH1 screwdriver and the device manual. 12V PSU is installed inside the NVR enclosure instead of the standard 110/230 V~ power supply unit. It features a standard jack plug for easy power cable connection.
