Ajax is expanding its video monitoring experience with Ajax TV, a new app designed for televisions. It makes viewing live camera streams on a large screen simple and convenient using an existing TV.
Ajax TV is an Android TV app available for download directly from Google Play. It displays live video streams from cameras in a 2×2 video wall layout. The app is ideal when there is no NVR with HDMI output or no separate monitor available. It offers a straightforward way to bring essential video monitoring to a large screen without extra equipment.
Quick setup to get started with Ajax TV in just a few steps
Authorization in the Ajax TV app is done simply by scanning a QR code with the Ajax Security System app.
After login, all account settings are applied automatically, including linked spaces and the access permissions defined for each of them.
Ajax TV supports live video viewing in a 2×2 grid layout. Any camera feed can be selected and opened in a full-screen player for a closer look at the situation on site. If access rights are restricted, locked placeholders appear on the camera tiles.
Navigation allows switching between video devices in the same order as they appear on the video wall.
Additionally, the app displays the current security mode of the selected space, providing immediate context for the live video.
Where Ajax TV works best
Ajax TV fits a wide range of monitoring scenarios. In private homes, outdoor camera streams can be displayed on a TV for better visibility and quick situational awareness. In offices, a reception desk TV can show live views of entrances or parking areas. In small retail stores, a back office TV can display video from the sales floor, enabling staff to monitor activity without leaving the cashier zone. Efficient monitoring for any site
To use Ajax TV app, Ajax Security System must be updated to version 3.39 or later. The app is currently available only for televisions and set-top boxes running Android TV 8.0 or later.
