• Dual motion detection technology. The detector has a PIR sensor and a K-band microwave sensor that work together to verify motion. The first detects motion by sensing objects with temperatures close to human body temperature. The K-band sensor performs radio frequency (RF) scanning to verify the event and filter out false alarms caused by thermal interference.
• SmartDetect algorithm. When the system is in armed mode, the detector analyzes IR radiation intensity, thermal spot size, movement speed, and other parameters to recognize a human and filter out IR interference.

• Temperature compensation. The detector constantly analyzes the thermal diagram from the PIR sensor and compensates for temperature changes. This ensures accurate detection even when the ambient temperature is close to human body temperature.

Curtain Outdoor Mini Jeweller instantly detects any attempt to cover, paint over, or obstruct its lens, immediately notifying users and a monitoring company. Therefore, any attempt to outsmart the sensor will not go unnoticed.

If someone goes further and tries to remove the device from the mounting panel, the tamper button activates an alarm. When the angle mount is used, the built-in accelerometer adds another layer of security. It detects attempts to break or tear off the detector. For additional protection, the detector can be secured to the SmartBracket mounting panel with a holding screw.

Ajax devices communicate with the hub using proprietary Jeweller and Wings protocols. All stored and transmitted data is protected by block encryption featuring a dynamic key, making spoofing nearly impossible. If the connection to the hub is lost, the system instantly detects the error and notifies the monitoring company and users.

Reliable radio communication and power supply

Both Jeweller and Wings protocols provide wireless data transfer and fast two-way communication. The device uses Jeweller to transmit alarms and events, while Wings is used to update the firmware.

The communication range is up to 5,550 ft in open space. Ajax range extenders can double the range and provide a stable connection for devices installed far away. 

The detector operates on two pre-installed CR123A batteries for up to three years. The system sends low battery notifications to installers and users months before the batteries need to be replaced.
