Last year, Ajax Systems introduced an alternative way to activate services by enabling card payments directly in Ajax apps for security professionals with system access rights. At the same time, the company announced plans to allow PROs to delegate service activation rights to end users using the same payment method.
Previously, the ability to activate Ajax Services via card payment was available only to PRO users. End users could activate services themselves only if no professional was added to the space. With this app update, the functionality is now available to end users as well.
Understanding activation rights
Activation rights determine who can manage paid services within a space. An account with these rights can purchase or cancel service subscriptions using the available payment method. This approach ensures that service management stays controlled while offering flexibility in deciding who is responsible for payments.

Delegating activation rights to the end user
Activation rights depend on the user roles available within a space. If a space includes only end users, they cannot activate Ajax Services themselves. If both a PRO and an end user are added to the same space, the PRO can delegate activation rights, allowing the end user to activate services independently via card payment.

End user only | – | Yes |

Availability and supported services
Card payment is currently available for Ajax SIM and Ajax Cloud Storage services. Delegating activation rights to end users is possible only in regions where card payments for services are supported.
The new functionality is available in the following or later versions of Ajax apps:

- Ajax PRO Desktop 5.39 (macOS/Windows).
The feature is supported in the following countries: Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Serbia, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, and Hungary.
