Quick access to video footage is critical during alarm events. That's why Ajax now offers another seamless way to verify alarms — sending a hyperlink to the central monitoring station (CMS) software to view video streams in a browser. This new feature allows operators to watch footage from Ajax video devices directly in a browser, with no extra apps or widgets required.
Thanks to this feature, assessing the situation on site at a critical moment of a potential threat becomes instant and intuitive. With just one click, operators get the full context of the situation right after receiving an alert. This means no precious time will be lost — security professionals can respond to alarms immediately.
Immediate alarm assessment without extra effort
Previously, CMS operators could view footage from Ajax video devices only via the Ajax PRO Desktop widget. The new feature does not require any extra software1 or operator actions — the required footage is just a click away.
When an Ajax video device detects motion, people, pets, or vehicles, the system immediately sends an event notification to the CMS along with a link to the footage. The operator simply clicks the link from the CMS interface and assesses the situation visually directly in a browser to take immediate, informed action.
If the system includes third-party cameras connected via an Ajax NVR, they can also trigger video streams thanks to the NVR's configurable motion detection settings.
The browser widget provides а complete view of the incident with two video streams:
- a live feed from the scene;
- archive footage showing the moment the alarm was triggered.
Operators can also scroll through the archive recording to see what happened before and after the event.

Visual alarm verification in a browser expands video surveillance capabilities while maintaining the Ajax system's core focus on privacy. Security professionals can access video content strictly within the privacy settings defined by the user. Each link to the footage is active for just 30 minutes after an alarm is triggered, ensuring that sensitive content remains inaccessible at all other times.
Technical requirements
The new feature is currently supported by the following CMS software:
- AM/Win by INSOCAM
- evalink talos by Sitasys
- Stages by Bold Group
- LISA by Dr. Pfau Fernwirktechnik GmbH
- Patriot by Patriot Systems
- ISM by Innovative Business Systems
- Gemini-Sense by Bold Communications
For this feature, a browser of the following versions or later is required:
- Google Chrome 64+
- Safari 12+
Events with links to footage are transmitted via the SIA DC-09 protocol.
Alternative video access options
Besides video verification in a browser, Ajax offers other options to integrate Ajax video surveillance into a third-party CMS. One of them is accessing footage in the Ajax PRO Desktop widget. This is a seamless way to verify video device alarms for companies using native Ajax software. When an alarm is received, the operator can click the event link, and the browser will prompt them to launch the Ajax widget, which displays both the live feed and archive footage.
With multiple integration options, interacting with Ajax video surveillance devices is seamless, regardless of the company's software setup. Choose the options that best suit your context and monitoring needs.
