Thanks to its combination of security and automation device management, this keypad has become a go-to tool for daily system control for many installers and users. The big touchscreen and intuitive interface, which mirror Ajax apps, ensure ease of use for any user. DESFire® and BLE technologies, along with multiple code types, provide both security and flexibility. And now, with a new firmware version, this keypad becomes even more useful.
What’s new
The latest firmware update introduces a new feature: the ability to view the latest alarms and events directly on the keypad screen. This feature enhances the user experience and provides greater situational awareness, especially when quick action is required. Below, we explore how the new feature works and why it matters in daily use.
Log with the latest events
The keypad now offers access to a detailed event log of recent alarms and events in the system.
Picture this: something triggers the system, the keypad sounds the alarm, and a user walks up trying to understand what happened. Before, it was necessary to open the app to get answers. Now, the information is one tap away on the KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller screen — not just a flashing icon or the name of the zone where the incident occurred, but detailed event data.
This is especially important in the case of fire. When an interconnected fire detector alarm is triggered, users can quickly see where it started and act accordingly.
How to update the keypad firmware
To access the new feature, the KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller firmware must be updated. This can be done by a system admin or a PRO user with access to the system settings using the Ajax PRO: Tool for Engineers or Ajax PRO Desktop.

The firmware rollout is gradual. The update will become available within approximately four weeks of this article's publication date. Downloading the firmware file and updating the device takes around an hour.
It is essential to connect the external power supply to the keypad.
Please note that during this time, you won't be able to change the security mode using the keypad. You can temporarily connect the keypad to the external power source just for the update process and then return to the previous setup — this won't affect the keypad's performance.
Availability
New feature is available with the following KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller firmware versions: 11.60.20.8, 12.60.20.4 or later.
OS Malevich version
If the device is added to a compatible hub with OS Malevich 2.33. or later, the new keypad firmware feature is available.
