New EN54 Line features now available in OS Malevich 2.36

Ajax Systems continues to enhance EN54 Line with practical features that meet the needs of security professionals and adapt device capabilities to real installation conditions. With the OS Malevich 2.36 update, an Ajax system gains three new features that improve daily operation and support certified use across different markets.

Non-fire alarm pattern

The first feature enables installers to set a separate audible pattern on fire alarm sounders for non-fire emergencies. This feature helps people inside the building immediately distinguish between different alert types.

Non-fire alarms, such as those for intrusion attempts or building attacks, can be activated via ManualCallPoint Jeweller, an Ajax wireless addressable button. To avoid confusion with standard fire call points, it can be installed in a different color. This distinction helps on-site staff immediately understand the nature of the emergency without needing to approach the control panel.

EN 54 compliance mode

The next feature introduces a mode that limits the system to the functionality required by EN 54. When the mode is enabled, the system hides all optional features to ensure full compliance with the standard.

This approach enables installers and fire inspectors to work with a predictable, regulation-aligned setup, reducing the risk of misconfiguration.

Disabling connection loss indication

This feature allows disabling visual and audible alerts on control and indicating equipment (CIE) when the connection between the CIE and a device is lost. This option is approved for use in Germany, where fire engines are equipped with EN 54-certified detectors.

When a fire engine is away from the station, a loss of connection is usually indicated as a fault. With the new setting, the CIE does not show this fault, preventing unnecessary notifications while the vehicle is outside the Jeweller radio communication coverage.

All new features reflect Ajax Systems's commitment to addressing real-world installation challenges and meeting evolving market requirements while maintaining full EN 54 compliance. The features are available in OS Malevich 2.36 and later versions.
