Instead of a traditional buzzer, the new sirens feature an advanced acoustic chamber to deliver clear, distinguishable alarms. Each siren model offers specific sound patterns designed to meet different security and regulatory requirements.

Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller features two sound patterns:

• Regular: a standard alarm tone suitable for general security needs.
• NFA2P-compliant: a sound pattern with duration and frequency (1,400−1,600 Hz) meeting strict French security regulations. This ensures compatibility with certified alarm systems. The certification determines how often the siren can emit sound, how long one sound cycle can last, and how long the siren can operate without interruption.

Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra offers three sound patterns: Regular, NFA2P-compliant, the same as the Jeweller version, and VdS-compliant with sound frequency of 1,400−1,800 Hz.

These features allow installers to customize the siren’s response for different sites and ensure that alarms are both effective and regulatory-compliant.

LED indication

The Superior outdoor sirens feature an LED frame that ensures clear visual alerts even in daylight. Whether the siren is used in urban areas or large industrial sites, the bright indication helps security personnel and passersby immediately recognize an alarm event.

In cases where audible alerts are undesirable, such as in residential complexes with noise restrictions, the siren can operate in silent mode, relying solely on LED indication.

Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is designed for long-term operation. A set of eight pre-installed batteries guarantees the following features:

Up to 10 years of autonomous operation.	Up to 13 hours of operation in alarm mode.

Plus, the minimal impact of extreme temperatures: the siren operates stably in the temperature range from –13 °F to 140 °F.

Power outages can affect the operation of wired security systems. Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra addresses this issue with an independent backup battery. Thanks to this feature, the siren:

• continues alarming even if the line power is not available, ensuring protection even in case of sabotage or prolonged power outages;
• remains fully functional even if the Fibra line is cut off or the hub battery is very low, offering an extra layer of security for critical facilities.

• Indicating delays. The LED frame and audible signals indicate entry/exit delays, which helps users arm or disarm the system on time and reduces false alarms. 

• Indicating security mode. The LED frame indicates whether the system is armed or disarmed. It can stay on constantly to prevent potential intruders from tracking it. Security mode changes can be confirmed by sound.
• Notifying users of doors being opened. The Chime¹ feature notifies users of doors being opened while the system is disarmed. It is commonly used in stores to alert staff when visitors enter.
• Providing after-alarm indication. The LED frame continues to signal an incident until the system is disarmed, helping security teams quickly identify an alarm.

Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller and Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra are designed to resist sabotage and ensure stable operation in all conditions. With multi-level protection, the sirens remain operational even when attempts are made to jam or disable them.

These Superior sirens feature two independent tampers: one is triggered when SmartBracket is unlocked, and the other is triggered if the siren is attempted to be detached. The devices’ enclosure is designed to minimize the impact of vandals and the environment on their operation. The robust enclosure provides weather protection and is IP54-rated. Durable plastic and metal grating provide additional safety, while secure mounting prevents the siren from being detached from the wall.

Protection against sabotage

All transmitted data is protected by block encryption featuring a dynamic key to prevent interception and unauthorized access. During each communication session, an Ajax hub verifies the siren’s unique parameters to ensure that only verified devices send commands. This eliminates spoofing attempts. Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller features a radio interference detection algorithm to identify and counteract jamming. Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra instantly detects line short circuits and notifies users and security companies of incidents. Once the issue is resolved, the system automatically restores operation without the need to replace the fuse.

Key features of Ajax sirens

The new outdoor devices inherit all the time-tested features of Ajax sirens. These include: 

• Customizable sound levels. The sirens offer multiple sound patterns for alarms. The volume can be adjusted from 85 to 107 dB⁴ , with an optional silent LED-only mode. The alarm duration³ can be set from 3 seconds to 3 minutes.

• Configuration in Ajax apps. Installers can set which detectors trigger the siren to prevent unnecessary alarms. Configuration can be done remotely, which eliminates the need for on-site visits.
• Self-monitoring system. The sirens continuously perform self-diagnosis, monitoring tamper, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses. Any malfunction or connection loss is immediately reported to security companies and users.
• Secure long-range communication. The sirens communicate with an Ajax hub using encrypted Ajax proprietary protocols. Jeweller provides a communication range² of up to 4,900 ft, while Fibra — up to 6,550 ft, supporting multiple device types on a single line.
• Effortless integration and installation. The sirens are ready to operate out of the box. Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller is installed on the SmartBracket mounting panel, which requires no enclosure disassembly. To add the siren to the hub, a user needs to scan the QR code. Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra is paired with the hub automatically by scanning Fibra lines in an Ajax app. An installer only needs to name the device, assign it to a room, and select a security group.
