Informative notifications are essential for a fast and accurate response to security threats. That’s why Ajax has made alert settings even more flexible, ensuring that both end users and monitoring companies stay focused on what matters most.
The latest Ajax app updates introduce configurable alerts: users and PROs can now choose which alarm types they would like to be notified of.

Configuring alarm notifications
How it works
All Ajax apps for end users and PROs now make it possible to configure notifications by alarm type. Alerts can be enabled for specific events, such as intrusion, panic button activation, fire detection, or leakage incidents.

Both installers and users can enable or disable alerts for specific alarm types. Additionally, end users can choose how each alarm is delivered — either as a standard notification or as a critical alert (bypassing mute modes).
Regardless of notification settings, all alarm events are still recorded in the event log.

Why it matters
Configurable alerts make interaction with the security system more efficient — both for security professionals and end users:
- PROs can focus on urgent alarms without being distracted by notifications intended for users. For example, security staff can only receive intrusion alarms, while plumbing technicians can be alerted exclusively to water leaks.
- Disabling panic alarms for end users can be critical during life-threatening incidents. For instance, if a notification is delivered to a civilian involved in an armed robbery, it could unintentionally escalate an already dangerous situation.
In all cases, a streamlined alert system ensures a focused and timely response — free from unnecessary distractions.
The new feature is available in the following or later versions of Ajax apps:
- Ajax Security System 3.23 (iOS/Android);
- Ajax PRO: Tool for Engineers 2.23 (iOS/Android);
- Ajax Desktop 4.23 (Windows/macOS);
- Ajax PRO Desktop 4.23 (Windows/macOS).
