Finding the right device, user, installer, service, or access code in a large security system can be time-consuming. Long lists require manual scrolling, even if you know exactly what you are looking for.
To solve this issue, Ajax apps now support search and filter features across key sections, including:
- Devices,
- Users,
- Keypad access codes,
- Passes/tags
This is a small change that makes a big difference for both end users and professionals.
Solving everyday navigation issues
Large-scale systems often include hundreds or even thousands of devices, users, access codes, groups, etc. Even in systems with up to 200 devices, manual search can be optimized.
For professionals maintaining complex installations, time is of the essence. The ability to search and filter streamlines the work of operators and installers. For example, an installer can find a device with an issue or a specific user by email in a system with 200 users — all with just a few clicks. A company admin can quickly find all active codes or view all guest cards to revoke access. Navigation is also easier for end users. Managing device settings or access becomes faster and more intuitive.
How it works
Search and filter features are readily available in sections containing a large number of items, such as lists of devices, users, etc. In Ajax desktop apps, the search bar is always visible. In the mobile apps, it appears with a simple swipe down.
To search, go to the relevant section — for example, Devices — and enter part of the name, model, or ID. The system will instantly return matching results. The search is case-insensitive and works with partial input.
Filters can be applied at any time to narrow down the results. Search and filter features work together, regardless of the order in which they are used.
All search requests are processed locally on the user's device. This ensures that multiple installers can work in parallel without interfering with each other.
Currently, search and filters are available in the following sections: Devices, Users, Keypad access codes, and Passes/tags. More options will be added in future updates.
