Privacy management just got easier. Access permissions can now be assigned or revoked for multiple devices and users at once, without reconfiguring each camera individually. The new feature — Bulk access management — helps privacy managers handling complex projects save time when updating access settings.
A quicker way to manage privacy across devices
With privacy by design at its core, Ajax systems give users precise control over third-party access to device content. In the dedicated Privacy menu, users define who may view live streams and archives, listen to recorded audio, or use PTZ features on specific cameras. Moreover, access can be granted permanently or only while the system is armed.

Configuring these settings across multiple cameras and users can be time-consuming and may increase the risk of accidental changes. Now, privacy controls can be configured once and applied in bulk to selected users and cameras. This feature is especially useful for multi-camera setups, for example, when granting a monitoring company access only to specific areas of a site.
With upcoming updates, bulk privacy management will also apply to access permissions for photos captured by MotionCam detectors and audio recorded by SpeakerPhone Jeweller.
Setting up the feature: larger scale, fewer taps
Configuring privacy settings for multiple cameras now takes no more time than setting up a single device. The new Bulk access management option appears within the Privacy menu in Ajax apps. A privacy manager selects the users or installers to be granted access and the relevant cameras, then simply configures the desired settings. Once saved, the permissions are instantly applied to all selected devices and users.
Changing privacy settings for already configured devices overwrites their existing access configurations.
To revoke access rights for specific users, the privacy manager can leave all privacy settings for the selected device unassigned. Once saved, the existing permissions are automatically revoked.
