New milestone: Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra achieves NFA2P compliance

Ajax Systems has an important update for high-security projects. Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra has received the NFA2P certificate, confirming compliance with a key security standard in France. Officially approved under the NF324-H58 standard, the detector is now ready for professional installations in the French market.

For seismic detectors, this is more than just another certificate. It is a benchmark that proves reliability under real attack scenarios and confirms that the device meets some of the most demanding requirements in Europe. Alongside existing compliance — EN 50131 (Grade 3), PD 6662:2017, and INCERT — NFA2P further strengthens the detector's position in insurance-driven markets.

What is NFA2P

NFA2P

NFA2P (Norme Française Alarme Prévention Protection) is a security standard in France that guarantees the reliability and performance of security systems. It was developed by the CNPP (Centre National de Prévention et de Protection) in collaboration with the insurance industry to guarantee that security systems meet stringent technical and operational requirements.

NFA2P indicates that the security devices have been tested for tampering and false alarm resistance, ensuring reliable performance in real-world conditions. Products undergo extensive testing to make sure they meet the durability, functionality, and resistance requirements. The certification applies to both wired and wireless devices and covers a wide range of security and access control equipment. Insurance companies in France often require the NFA2P certification for security products, as it helps minimize the risks associated with theft and property damage. Many of them require only NFA2P–certified systems to be installed.

Why NFA2P matters specifically for seismic detectors

Seismic detectors are a special category. Unlike standard motion or opening detectors, they must reliably detect physical attacks on solid structures while remaining immune to vibrations caused by surrounding everyday activity.

Only a few certification systems in Europe include specific requirements and test scenarios for seismic detectors: NFA2P and VdS. Passing such certification is exceptionally challenging, which is why NFA2P is considered a key quality marker. For Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra, achieving NFA2P confirms that the detector performs exactly as expected during real, aggressive intrusion or burglary attempts.

Road to compliance

Preparing for NFA2P was not a lab-only exercise. To measure detector reaction speed and false alarm immunity, Ajax Systems' engineers went far beyond standard testing, sometimes quite literally. First, they bought a 1.5 × 3 m concrete wall and attacked it with rotary hammers, drills, angle grinders, and even sledgehammers. Several safes and vaults followed — from standard office models to a 0.9-ton safe made from reinforced concrete and metal — all subjected to drilling, cutting, hammering, and other sabotage attempts.

The journey didn't stop there. The detector was tested on vending machines during regular everyday operation, installed on an electric generator to check the electrical interference, flooded with water, drilled through, heated with a gas torch, and cut apart by oxy-fuel welding. The device was even mounted on a concrete wall at the Ukrzaliznytsia (Public JSC Ukrainian Railways) railway depot to ensure that passing trains wouldn't cause false alarms.

There was also a controlled explosion test at a military training ground. The detector performed exactly as intended. Ajax Systems' engineers may have lost several devices during the test, but instead gained confidence that Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra reliably handles extreme scenarios and consistently detects alarms.

About Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra

Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra is a Grade 3 wired seismic detector designed to protect high-value assets and critical infrastructure. It detects vibrations caused by drilling, cutting, and explosive impact, as well as physical force such as bending or pushing. The detector also reacts to shocks, tilt, and rapid temperature changes near the enclosure.

An advanced built-in software algorithm analyzes vibration patterns in real time to filter out false alarms, ensuring reliable operation in complex environments. The device is easy to install and comes with a complete out-of-the-box installation set. Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra is designed for sites where security is non-negotiable: safes, vaults, ATMs, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, and high-risk commercial objects.
