Ajax devices notify monitoring companies about on-site events in real time. Each notification includes key details: timestamp, event type, device name, and location.
In addition, the Ajax Photo Mode service enables the transmission of a series of photos1 to monitoring software when Ajax video devices detect motion. The same functionality is available by default to all MotionCam detectors.

When an Ajax video device detects motion or an object, the system immediately sends an alarm notification to the monitoring software — along with a link to the footage. Operators simply clicks the link and assesses the situation visually, either in a browser or via the Ajax PRO Desktop interface. They can access both the live feed and archived footage. Meanwhile, scrolling through the archive timeline helps to see how the event unfolded. This enables informed decision-making and swift response.

Ajax video devices integration via ONVIF/RTSP
Ajax video devices support ONVIF/RTSP authorization, enabling them to integrate directly with third-party video surveillance systems — including major video management systems (VMSs). This integration preserves the full functionality of the Ajax ecosystem.
With ONVIF authorization, Ajax cameras and NVRs can now stream video directly to third-party clients via the standard ONVIF protocol, bypassing Ajax Cloud.

MotionCam detectors support various types of photo verification depending on the model — by alarm, scenario, schedule, tamper alarm, masking, arming/disarming, or on demand. The time required to deliver photos from Ajax video devices and MotionCam detectors to an Ajax hub depends on the number of images and resolution selected in the device settings. The delivery time from the hub to the monitoring software depends on internet speed.
