Ajax range extenders
Wireless radio signal range extenders
Boosting the range of security devices
ReX Jeweller and ReX 2 Jeweller are designed to expand the radio network coverage up to two times. The Ajax system devices stay connected despite the distance. The range extenders can communicate with all Ajax system devices or just with some (for instance, located on a different floor or in another building).
Explore the unique features of Ajax range extenders
Security on a massive scale
Users can add a maximum of five range extenders to the system and expand the radio network coverage to up to 35 km². Now the system easily covers a large, complex site like a mansion, office center, or industrial building. The users and security companies receive events and alarms instantly. The ReX Jeweller range extender can also operate on a backup battery for up to 35 hours. ReX 2 Jeweller extends this time to 38 hours.

Radio communication through steel and concrete
ReX 2 supports connection to a hub via radio and Ethernet. The Ethernet cable can be the only communication channel or the backup one. In the last-case scenario, the Ethernet connection works in parallel with Jeweller and Wings radio protocols. Such flexibility is the key to covering a huge site with one Ajax system. Use ReX 2 in a sectional metal hangar, warehouse complex, or another large-scale site with a weak radio signal.

Ready to resist intruder attacks
Ajax range extenders are protected from attacks at software and hardware levels. The devices run on the OS Malevich operating system, which is immune to viruses. All data transmitted by the range extenders is encrypted, and the built-in tamper is triggered if there is any attempt to detach the range extender from the surface or dismount the device. Moreover, the tamper state, along with the communication and power status, is continuously monitored. The range extenders perform automatic self-diagnostics and transmit their statuses to the hub.

Ajax product categories
In an Ajax system, you can combine devices of all product categories: Intrusion protection (both Superior and Baseline), Video surveillance, Fire and life safety, or Comfort and automation. Create the system to suit your needs and manage it in a single interface.
Maximizing security coverage with wireless signal extenders
Wireless signal extenders offer an effective solution for expanding the reach and coverage of security systems across large properties and complex sites. With advanced radio and ethernet communication options, these devices ensure robust connectivity, even in areas where obstacles like metal structures and concrete walls can disrupt signals.
Why choose a signal extender?
A signal extender boosts the range of security networks, linking remote devices to a central system and enabling reliable communication throughout expansive areas. Here's how they contribute to an enhanced security setup:
- Extended range: These extenders increase the network's reach, enabling devices on multiple floors or in separate buildings to remain connected. Some models can cover up to 35 km², providing an ideal solution for large residences, office complexes, or industrial spaces.
- Multi-layered communication: Extenders allow flexible setup options by supporting radio and ethernet connections. This feature is handy in settings where radio signals alone may not be effective due to building materials or other environmental factors.
- Battery backup and continuous operation: With battery life extending over 35 hours, signal extenders provide security even during power outages, ensuring the network remains functional and connected.
Critical applications for signal extenders
- Industrial and commercial property: Warehouses, manufacturing plants, and office centers with multiple sections and heavy barriers benefit from the extended reach of these devices. Even within buildings with reinforced concrete walls or steel frameworks, signal extenders maintain strong connections, helping to keep the entire property secure.
- Large residential sites: In large homes or multi-building residential properties, signal extenders can bridge gaps in coverage, ensuring that all areas of the property are monitored and protected. Multiple devices can communicate reliably over the network, connecting sensors, alarms, and other security components to a single system.
- Emergency response optimization: For security networks that must respond quickly in emergencies, signal extenders help ensure that alarms are transmitted without delay, providing instant alerts across long distances.
Advanced security and anti-tamper design
Signal extenders include various protective features to ensure safe operation:
- Encrypted data transmission: All communication is encrypted to protect against data interception and reduce the risk of network breaches.
- Tamper detection and alert system: Built-in tamper sensors trigger alerts if the extender is attempted to detach or interfere with. This feature protects against intentional sabotage and provides instant notifications to the system administrator.
- Self-diagnostics for reliable operation: Signal extenders perform automatic health checks, monitor communication and power levels, and report any issues to the central hub. This proactive approach ensures consistent functionality and quickly identifies any network disruptions.
Benefits of implementing signal extenders in security systems
Implementing signal extenders brings notable advantages to security systems, such as:
- Enhanced range and flexibility: Allows security devices to function effectively across extensive properties and through signal-blocking materials.
- Rapid alarm transmission: Alarms can be relayed promptly to the system's central hub, improving response times in critical situations.
- Improved system integrity: With robust anti-tamper and encryption features, signal extenders offer extra layers of security, protecting against both physical and cyber threats.
Signal extenders are versatile tools for enhancing the coverage and reliability of security systems. By strengthening communication, providing flexible connectivity options, and securing data, these devices are integral to building comprehensive, resilient networks for both large and complex sites.
