Pushing the boundaries of fire safety

EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller blurs the limits for use cases and compatibility in EN 54-certified Ajax setups. It automates responses to emergencies by integrating gates, door locks, lighting, or alert systems through the module outputs. Its inputs allow complementing the setup with beam smoke detectors, elevator control panels, HVAC systems, or other wired third-party devices to address any fire or life safety scenario. Designed to deliver an Ajax-level experience, the module offers out-of-the-box communication with the CIE, intuitive configuration via Ajax apps, and zero-hassle maintenance.

Automated response at the first sign of danger

Integrate life safety equipment that enhances emergency response and evacuation from the very first moments of a fire alarm. EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller features two galvanically isolated outputs supporting both alternating and direct current, with a resistive load capacity of up to 10 A. This allows installers to connect a wide selection of electrical devices, from door locks and emergency lighting to elevator control and voice alarm systems. The Ajax ecosystem uses automation scenarios to activate the connected devices the moment an alarm is triggered, saving valuable seconds for a safe evacuation.

Smart integration of third-party devices

Make any existing fire and life safety equipment part of the Ajax setup or complement the system with devices outside the Ajax portfolio. Two inputs enable EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller to receive signals from third-party detectors, door controllers, elevator control panels, and other wired devices. The module supports the most common connection types, including 3EOL, which allows receiving up to three distinct signals from a single connected device.
Once integrated, third-party devices become a full-fledged part of the Ajax ecosystem. Installers can assign device parameters and locations to enable informative notifications upon activation. Each input can be configured with specific event types — such as fire alarm, gas leak, fault, evacuation, auxiliary alarm, or custom alarm — for additional clarity in emergency situations. All configuration is done in a few steps via Ajax apps.

Installation experience beyond standards

With Ajax, technological excellence is not only about compliance — it is about design that cuts down on the installer workload and makes system setup pleasant, intuitive, and error-free. EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller offers installation as it should be — complete in just minutes.

Adding EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller to the system is as simple as scanning a QR code and making a few taps in an Ajax app. An installer only needs to set key parameters, including the virtual room, fire zone, and exact device location. The same settings can be specified for the integrated third-party devices.

Connection

EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller is mounted easily onto the SmartBracket panel — no need to disassemble the casing. It's nearly impossible to damage the board during installation thanks to its protective housing. The module is designed for maximum flexibility: recesses and perforations allow cable routing from any side of the casing. Connecting third-party devices is just as straightforward: all terminals are labeled, and EOL resistors come included in the complete set.

Installation

Configuration takes just a few steps — no complicated programming or manual scenario planning required. Installers can run a Jeweller signal strength test with a single tap, and the results appear in the event log in seconds. Within the same Ajax app interface, installers can easily set input and output parameters — including operating mode, default state, and event type — and configure automation scenarios as needed.

Unique wireless technology

Unique wireless technology

When every second counts, there's no room for delays or a dropped connection. That's why EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller uses the onboard Jeweller two-way radio communication protocol. The device maintains a stable connection to the CIE at distances1 of up to 1,700 m out of the box — no external communicators required. For sites with obstacles, an Ajax range extender can double the coverage or use an Ethernet connection to create a separate radio network.

The Ajax radio protocol guarantees a stable connection and continuous device monitoring. Jeweller is designed to be less vulnerable to signal interference, extend device battery life, and promptly detect connection loss.

Efficient autonomy for years to come

Pre-installed batteries provide up to 5 years of autonomous operation. Real-time battery status is always visible in Ajax apps, so there is no need for unnecessary maintenance visits. Service companies also receive early low battery notifications for timely replacements. When it's time to change the batteries, the process is fast and straightforward: an installer simply removes the module's front lid.
