Ajax Photo Mode
Service for photo verification of motion detected by Ajax video devices in third-party monitoring software
Faster and smarter alarm response
With Ajax Photo Mode, your surveillance camera becomes a powerful security tool. When motion is detected — or a recognized object is identified by the built-in AI — the camera not only triggers an alarm but also sends a photo for visual verification. There's no need for monitoring operators to search through archives or switch between interfaces to check the situation at the premises. A series of photos arrives instantly at the monitoring station alongside the event.
Your monitoring company sees what’s happening in seconds and can respond accordingly. The familiar visual alarm verification experience from MotionCam detectors now extends to video surveillance. This helps avoid unnecessary patrol dispatches and ensures rapid response when every second counts.

Why Ajax Photo Mode
Swift incident processing
Security operators react more quickly with instant photo verification. Fewer false alarms mean fewer unnecessary patrol dispatches.
No extra hassle
There’s no need to confirm alarms over the phone — everything happens automatically on the monitoring side. You’re protected without being disturbed.
Clear control and privacy
In an Ajax app, you always see which cameras the service is activated for. Photos are only sent from the selected video device and for a specified event type.
Privacy under your control
With Ajax Photo Mode, only selected cameras send photos to the monitoring station. Cameras placed in sensitive areas can be completely excluded from the service — no images, no data sharing. You decide which devices the service is activated on and what events trigger photo transmission.
The service is configured individually for each camera
Events that trigger photo transmission can be set up in Ajax PRO apps

Currently, Ajax Photo Mode is not supported by Ajax NVRs. This functionality will be added in future updates.
No hidden agenda
All system data is securely stored within the European Union, in compliance with strict EU data protection regulations.
Ajax video devices are NDAA-compliant, with every component sourced from manufacturers trusted and approved by the U.S. government. Additionally, all video devices have successfully passed independent cybersecurity tests, which proves the device’s safety and reliability.

Remote setup — no technician visit needed
No need to schedule a visit or wait for a technician. Just contact your security provider: they can activate and manage Ajax Photo Mode remotely. If the video devices are already installed, the whole process is quick and seamless.
Ajax Photo Mode can be enabled for any Ajax video device added to a space your monitoring company has access to — whether it’s newly configured or has been monitored for years.
The service can be paused or disabled remotely at any time, scheduled for a future month, or reactivated later when needed.
