Ajax Systems, an international tech company and the largest manufacturer of security systems in Europe, will fund emergency stabilization and urgent conservation works on the Old Arsenal, a listed architectural monument of national significance that forms part of Mystetskyi Arsenal complex. The monument was damaged in a Russian drone attack on June 15, 2026. The company's support will help protect the damaged building from further deterioration and create the necessary conditions for subsequent stages of restoration.
On June 15, a Russian drone struck the main building of Mystetskyi Arsenal. The attack caused a fire that lasted for several hours. Approximately 2,000 square meters of the roof and two upper floors of the building were damaged, along with part of the left wing and the panoramic windows on the third floor. Water used to extinguish the fire caused damage extending from the roof down to the basement of the Old Arsenal building.
Mystetskyi Arsenal collection was successfully protected, and no works of art were damaged. At the same time, the nationally significant monument itself requires extensive conservation and restoration work.
The first step was a series of assessments, including architectural and restoration surveys, technical condition assessments, and chemical and technological examinations. These provided a scientifically grounded basis for developing the required conservation and restoration documentation. The next step is emergency stabilization and conservation work to protect the monument while detailed instrumental surveys and the restoration project are being developed as part of the scientific and project documentation.
Ajax Systems is now joining these efforts to protect the monument by funding the urgent conservation works.
