About DualCurtain Outdoor

To provide users with fast and accurate early intrusion detection, Ajax Systems developed DualCurtain Outdoor, a wireless outdoor motion detector that guards a property perimeter. The detector combines two curtain motion detectors directed in opposite directions in one device. It has an unprecedented detection range of 30 meters and features a unique technology, patented and developed by Ajax Systems, to expand the protected area.

When Near Area Detection mode is enabled, the detector’s upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow viewing sector directed at the angle of 40 degrees down against the main sector. The feature allows both sensors to detect movement when a human crosses the protected perimeter closely to the detector’s body, addressing the problem of the blind spot, which is a typical problem of such detectors.
