While Superior Hub Hybrid is a perfect fit for smaller sites, such as jewelry stores, gun shops, private residences, and compact warehouses, Superior Hub Hybrid 2 is built to handle much more. With its doubled capacity and enhanced communication technologies, the new hub confidently secures medium to large-sized facilities, including warehouses, factories, banks, schools, and offices. The device brings the same Ajax reliability and ease of use to a new scale, empowering security professionals to take on larger, more complex projects.

Similar to the first-gen model, Superior Hub Hybrid 2 complies with a range of security standards and is certified to EN 50130 (Grade 3).

Hybrid connectivity perfected

Superior Hub Hybrid 2 brings together four proprietary communication technologies to deliver unmatched coverage and stability.

WIRED

Fibra communication technology allows installers to wire lines up to 6,550 ft long. A single Superior Hub Hybrid 2 can run up to eight lines. Ajax modules that split, protect, and power the line can extend the connection distance by dozens of times.

Fibra lines are multifunctional and allow for the connection of different types of devices simultaneously. All alarms, events, and visual verification data are delivered over the same line without interference.

WIRELESS

Superior Jeweller delivers Grade 3 level reliability with strong encryption and advanced frequency hopping. It provides a radio communication range of up to 11,450 ft in open space. The protocol transmits alarms, events, and readings to Ajax apps in just 0.15 seconds.

Automatic power adjustment makes the protocol energy efficient by avoiding the constant use of maximum transmitter power. This ensures long-lasting operation of wireless devices on pre-installed batteries.

WIRELESS

TurboWings is a wireless technology designed for delivering photo verification data over distances of up to 9,800 ft in open space. It also functions as a fallback communication channel that transmits large data packets if the main connection is lost. Once it is restored, TurboWings automatically sends data backups from cameras and detectors to the hub.

WIRELESS

VoRF is a proprietary audio communication protocol that ensures seamless and secure data exchange between the hub and devices (e.g., voice modules). It enables reliable voice communication between the secured site and the monitoring station. Based on time division duplex technology, the protocol provides simultaneous two-way communication over distances of up to 5,900 ft without requiring on-site activation.

Support for Superior Jeweller and TurboWings means the hub can work with wireless Grade 3 Ajax devices — the world's first wireless intrusion protection for high-security sites. Thus, installers can combine wired and wireless Grade 3 devices to create custom configurations of any complexity, meeting specific project requirements. Wireless Grade 3 devices also bring strong encryption and advanced frequency hopping to prevent sabotage, spoofing, and data theft.

All the must-haves already built in

Superior Hub Hybrid 2 comes fully equipped for professional installations. All the essentials for rapid hub deployment are already in place:

Built-in communicators. Radio modules provide seamless connectivity between the hub and system devices, while alarms and events are sent to a monitoring station via Ethernet or cellular communication channel (two SIM cards supporting 2G/3G/LTE).
Built-in power supply unit. Superior Hub Hybrid 2 operates from 110–240 V~ mains, providing power not only for itself but also for all connected wired Superior devices. During a power outage, the hub switches to a 12 V, 18 Ah backup battery (not included), which maintains power for up to 60 hours.
ExternalAntenna support. When the hub is installed in challenging environments — where the base-station signal is weakened or the surroundings contain many obstructions and shielding materials — ExternalAntenna helps ensure a more reliable and stable cellular connection.
Visual verification. The hub can transmit visual alarm verification from Ajax MotionCam detectors and security cameras to the Ajax apps and third-party monitoring software.
Automation scenarios. The hub supports 64 scenarios allowing boost safety and comfort in response to system events. For example, the control panel can lock doors in case of an alarm, switch on lights by schedule, activate ventilation when CO₂ levels rise, or cut the power in an emergency.
Advanced sabotage protection. The hub features two tamper buttons, device authentication to prevent spoofing, data encryption, frequency hopping in case of jamming, and communication failure detection.

Availability

Superior Hub Hybrid 2 comes either in its original casing or as a board for installation into a compatible Case. With the original casing, built-in LED indicators keep the hub's current state visible at all times. Without the casing, it is an external LED that can do the job when connected to the hub's board and mounted to remain outside Case. This flexibility enables installers to combine the hub with other devices and arrange them efficiently within a single casing.
