About the integration
MimicCloud is a cloud-based mimic board platform that brings together security and automation solutions from multiple brands. It makes everyday security operations at schools, councils, commercial sites, and complex multi-site facilities simple and accessible even for staff members without technical expertise.
Cross-system integration is built around MimicCloud's secure API framework that enables real-time, bi-directional communication between connected devices. Currently, the integration includes three security systems but is open to expanding to additional third-party solutions:
- Ajax intrusion protection and automation
- Salto access control
- Nx Witness video management.
At large sites equipped with Ajax detectors, third-party cameras, and Salto locks, readers, or other access control devices, MimicCloud unifies them all into a single system. Security managers and facility teams can arm and disarm the facility, monitor on-site activity, and review detailed reports for investigation from one dashboard, without switching between apps.
The integration opens ways to automate routine actions. Unlocking a Salto lock can instantly disarm the Ajax system, activate HVAC equipment, and turn on the lights. Conversely, when someone badges out, the system resets without any additional user action: the doors lock, detectors switch to armed mode, and climate control powers down. This way, MimicCloud creates a connected, intelligent environment that saves users' time and attention while keeping facilities secure at all times.
MimicCloud offers a range of features for enhanced security and efficient facility management:
- Facility-wide lockdown: an Ajax panic button or the Ajax Security System app can trigger system alarms, activate cameras, and launch automated responses in case of an emergency.
- Power monitoring: with WallSwitch Jeweller, users gain insight into current and total power consumption and manage it automatically or manually from the dashboard, which helps optimize energy use and reduce costs.
- Video bookmarking: thanks to Nx Witness integration, users can add a camera to record video snapshots of events such as arming/disarming, alarms, and lockdowns for easier review and verification.
- Role-based access: system owners can manage permissions for staff, contractors, and visitors in a few clicks, with automatic synchronization across all integrated systems.
