All communicators built-in
Type4 Line devices come fully equipped with all communicators built in — no extra modules, no added complexity. It ensures instant, reliable communication between the central unit and all system devices: sounders, VADs, I/O modules, and manual call points. When the manual call point is pressed, the alarm is spread to sounders and VADs in just three seconds.
Communication between the CIE and system devices
Jeweller communication protocol
Transmits the real-time device statuses, alarms, events, and all measured readings to the Ajax apps.
Wings communication protocols
Transfer visual verifications and large data packets for individual settings such as interface languages and firmware updates.
- Wireless range of up to 1,800 m
- Encrypted two-way radio communication
- Notifications of jamming and connection loss
- Data packet reload in case of transmission errors
Communication with Ajax server and apps
The central unit can be connected to four internet providers1 simultaneously. It uses an Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection as the primary channel and has two SIM cards that support 2G/4G (LTE) as backups. If the primary channel is lost, the central unit automatically switches to the SIM card with the strongest signal. Switching between channels takes seconds.

Fail-safe alarm activation
Type4 ManualCallPoint Jeweller is built for Type 4 fire detection and alarm systems. Pressing the button activates an alarm, ensuring an instant response and evacuation initiation. Simple to install and highly reliable, the device guarantees fast manual alarm activation when every second counts.
The Ajax manual сall point has a thoughtful and reliable button-press mechanism, which is simplified to several solid parts. Thus, the button cannot get stuck or fail to activate physically, and the possibility of failure in moments of emergency is reduced.
- Mechanism with reduced failure risk
- Designed for 500+ presses
- Automatic self-diagnosis of each device

Unmissable alerts that save time — and lives
Choose a device with the alert type that best suits project requirements: sound only, visual only, or a two-in-one solution. Each option is designed to guarantee effective on-site alarm warning.
Sound indication
Type4 FireProtect (Sounder) Jeweller and Type4 FireProtect (Sounder/VAD) Jeweller are equipped with a powerful 100 dB buzzer to ensure alerts are heard even in noisy environments. The devices produce an audible signal with characteristics similar to those defined in the NF S32-001 standard (non-certified). Configuration is quick and intuitive — just a few taps in an Ajax app.

Visual indication
Both Type4 FireProtect (VAD) Jeweller and Type4 FireProtect (Sounder/VAD) Jeweller feature a perimeter LED frame. During an alarm, the frame flashes with intense red light, following a compliant temporal pattern. Each visual alarm device can be mounted either on a wall or ceiling. This removes installation constraints and gives engineers the flexibility to achieve optimal visual coverage with fewer devices.

Central units
Type4 Line offers two central units to meet different project needs: a cost-effective solution for essential fire alarm tasks, and a touchscreen version that provides an on-site interface to interact with the system. Both central units are easy to install, simple to use, and don't require much upkeep. Built-in communicators and a fully wireless device connection allow the system to be quickly deployed and connected via Ajax apps.

Range extenders
Type4 Line includes two range extender models designed for different central units. Both models extend the range of a wireless network and provide a stable connection for system devices across large or complex facilities. The range extender connects to the central unit wirelessly or via Ethernet, ensuring reliable communication through steel and concrete. Up to five range extenders2 can operate within one Ajax system, and each supports any combination of Type4 Line devices.

Sounders and VADs
Type4 FireProtect Jeweller sounders and VADs are a fusion of signature Ajax user experience and reliability. Within three seconds of a fire alarm, they deliver audible, visual, or combined alerts. Regardless of the version, the devices are equally suited for wall or ceiling mounting. Installation itself takes just minutes — no disassembly required, with built-in communicators already in place. Maintenance is just as effortless, thanks to real-time monitoring, early low battery notifications in Ajax apps, and swift battery swap.

Manual call points
In a life-threatening situation, Ajax manual call points save precious time. The button triggers a fire alarm and automation scenarios, and the system immediately follows the commands. A single press activates VADs and sounders in the system, informing users to evacuate. Once the danger has passed, Type4 ManualCallPoint Jeweller is reset using a special key tool included in the complete set.

Integration modules
Type4 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller blurs the limits for use cases and compatibility in Type 4 setups. The integration module automates emergency responses by connecting third-party sounders through the module outputs. The inputs allow adding manual call points and other alerting devices to trigger the system at the first sign of danger. Designed to deliver an Ajax-level experience, the module offers out-of-the-box communication with the hub, intuitive configuration via Ajax apps, and zero-hassle maintenance.

Installation experience beyond standards
With Ajax, technological excellence is about design that cuts down on installer workload and makes system setup pleasant, intuitive, and error-free. All Type4 Line devices deliver wireless installation as it should be — complete in just minutes. All system devices can be added and configured through the Ajax mobile or desktop apps, so getting started is as efficient as it gets. There's no need to program complex logic manually — configure the system using human-readable text through an intuitive, self-explanatory interface.
There is no need to disassemble the enclosure: all devices are easily mounted on the SmartBracket panel. The installation kit includes all the necessary fasteners so an installer can effortlessly mount the device on the wall or ceiling.
