How to customize the video wall in Ajax mobile apps

The video wall in Ajax mobile apps provides quick access to video streams from cameras added to the space. Users can arrange camera feeds in any order to easily find video streams from the required cameras.

The customized order is saved in the cloud and synchronized across the user's devices.

Prerequisites

The Video wall tab is available in Ajax mobile apps when at least one camera has been added to the space. Access to video streams depends on the user's privacy permissions.

The video wall displays feeds from the following cameras:

• Ajax cameras
• Third-party cameras added to an Ajax NVR that are conformant with ONVIF^® Profile S/T or support RTSP

How to access the video wall

To open the video wall, in an Ajax mobile app:

1. Log in to the account.
2. Select the required space.
3. Go to the Video wall tab.

The video wall displays camera feeds available to the user based on their privacy permissions.

Switching between list and grid views

The video wall supports two view modes:

• List: camera feeds are displayed in a vertical list.
• Grid: camera feeds are displayed in a grid.

To change the view mode, tap the View mode icon in the upper-right corner of the Video wall tab and select the desired option. The selected mode is saved automatically and applied the next time the user opens the Video wall tab.

Customizing the camera feed order

Users can reorder camera feeds using drag-and-drop. The order can be customized separately for each list.

To change the camera feed order:

1. Go to the Video wall tab.
2. Tap the icon to open the list of all available cameras.
3. Open the required list: All, Favorites, or a room.
4. Press and hold the required camera, then drag it to the desired position in the list.

The updated order is saved automatically in the user's mobile app, synchronized across their devices, and retained separately for the All, Favorites, and room lists.

New cameras added to the space appear at the end of their corresponding lists. Users can change their position at any time.

Adding cameras to Favorites

For quick access, users can add frequently viewed cameras to Favorites — a separate section of the video wall. Adding a camera to Favorites does not remove it from the All list or its room.

To add a camera to Favorites:

1. Go to the Video wall tab.
2. Tap the icon, then tap Choose cameras.
3. Tap the icon next to the camera to add it to Favorites.

The selected cameras appear in Favorites and can be arranged independently of the other lists.
