About the product
Wireless Alarm Site Protection, or WASP, is an intrusion alarm system equipped with Ajax devices. It is designed for robust perimeter protection of construction sites, vacant sites, wind or solar farms, critical national infrastructure sites, and similar locations.
At the core of the system is Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, a wireless control panel that reports all alarms and events, ensuring awareness of what is going on at a site. The hub supports 2G, 3G, and LTE networks and automatically switches between them to maintain a reliable connection if one channel fails. A built-in backup battery ensures uninterrupted communication for up to 16 hours in case of a power outage. Hub maintenance does not require frequent on-site visits, as security companies can configure and manage the hub remotely via Ajax apps.
The WASP system uses MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller detectors for intrusion detection. They are installed on all four sides of the tower to provide 360-degree facility protection. The devices use infrared sensors to detect movement and instantly capture the situation on the spot. An advanced motion detection algorithm filters out false alarms (such as those triggered by animals), which is especially useful in open-air environments. The detectors can take photos by alarm, schedule, scenario, or on demand and deliver images in 9 seconds. With such flexibility, users can check the situation on-site in case of an alarm or whenever they feel the need.
In case of intrusion, WASP activates StreetSiren Jeweller, which generates a loud signal to deter intruders. Apart from that, two Relay Jeweller relays trigger third-party floodlights, strobe lights, and speakers with a pre-recorded message for an additional deterrent effect.
The WASP system provides round-the-clock protection with minimal need for on-site intervention. Ajax devices operate autonomously for up to 5 years with pre-installed batteries. The system continuously monitors its status and sends notifications to users and security companies via Ajax apps, alerting them to malfunctions or low battery levels.
