Client
State Forests, Poland
Partner: AlarmTower
State Forests manages vast forested areas across Poland, overseeing logging, road construction, and land reclamation. Much of this work requires heavy machinery and specialized equipment deployed deep in the forest, far from settlements and infrastructure.
Challenge
Protect equipment during road works in remote forested areas
Road construction in forested areas presents a challenging security scenario. Heavy machinery and equipment are deployed across extended areas, often far from power infrastructure. As the works progress, the equipment is relocated to the new forest sections, which makes permanent security setups impractical. What’s more, the construction sites are hard to reach fast in case of an alarm.
The client needed a reliable, autonomous solution for intrusion detection and deterrence, which could be installed and relocated fast and offer a remote monitoring feature.
Solution
Mobile wireless security system with visual alarm verification, enabling autonomous protection
To address the State Forests’ challenges, AlarmTower implemented a comprehensive security solution based on wireless Ajax devices combined in mobile and semi-stationary units. Such a modular design makes it fast to install, easy to move along with the equipment, and scalable without complex reconfiguration. In addition, the solution supports visual alarm verification: the client can check if threats are real and avoid unnecessary dispatches. The full control over the system is also available remotely thanks to mobile Ajax apps.
The units come in different configurations and easily adapt to ever-changing site conditions. They comprise task-specific Ajax devices and protective AlarmTower’s cases. The units can be installed in harsh environments and hard-to-reach spots to remain protected from vandalism and tampering.

To meet the client’s needs, the partner used several types of mobile and semi-stationary security units.
- AlarmBox
A unit with an Ajax hub, a power supply unit, motion detectors, and an outdoor siren. As soon as movement is detected, the siren provides an immediate deterrent effect, discouraging intruders before an incident escalates. The solution is equipped with a connector for a solar panel, which ensures long-term autonomous operation.
- AlarmCam
A mobile unit that integrates an Ajax hub and cameras for visual alarm verification. The operators have an overview of what is happening on-site without dispatching personnel. Like AlarmBox, this unit supports connection to a solar panel, making it suitable for extended outdoor use.
- AlarmPost
A robust steel post fitted out with an outdoor Ajax MotionCam detector. This solution is designed to control the perimeter and monitor open areas around the equipment and work zones.

- AlarmSnap
A compact unit consisting of an outdoor Ajax MotionCam detector and a protective case. The solution is mounted using a neodymium magnet: it means quick and tool-free attachment to metal surfaces, e.g., right on the machinery or containers, and just as effortless repositioning.

The entire system can be deployed in under an hour and does not require mains electricity, walls, or prepared surfaces. This makes the solution suitable for forested areas, construction sites, and any off-grid and hard-to-reach locations.
Depending on power availability, the system can be equipped with various Ajax devices that support visual alarm verification. If there is a stable power source, Ajax cameras can be used for extended visual monitoring. With a limited power supply, battery-powered motion detectors such as MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller or MotionCam Outdoor Jeweller ensure reliable photo alarm verification.
System configuration, testing, and daily operation are handled remotely or on-site via Ajax apps. Users can change security modes, receive instant notifications, and check the situation on-site from anywhere.
Scalable approach to protecting multiple site types
Thanks to autonomous operation, fast installation, and flexible system configuration, the AlarmTower’s solution equipped with Ajax devices can be applied across a wide range of sites facing the same challenges. Locomotive depots, warehouses, truck parking sites, heavy-duty equipment storage areas, container yards – the system is perfect for wherever permanent infrastructure is limited and temporary, rapidly deployable protection is required.

Why Ajax
Stable operation in remote sites. Wireless Ajax devices are designed for long-term autonomous operation, which is crucial for off-grid and hard-to-reach locations. With extended battery life and no need for electricity mains, the Ajax devices reliably operate where traditional security solutions cannot be installed.
Multiple systems in a single app. Ajax apps enable users to manage hundreds of devices and multiple sites in a single interface. Operators maintain situational awareness and have a full overview of system state, alarms, and events even when away from the site.
Scalable and adaptable system design. The Ajax system easily scales as a site grows and is ready to adapt if needs change. New devices can be added without system redesign, which makes the Ajax solution suitable for both temporary and long-term security scenarios.
