This product is engineered to cover windows, doors, narrow passages, and other entry points along the perimeter. Break-in attempts are exposed early — before they leave a scratch. While the device blends in, its effectiveness stands out thanks to near-zero false alarms, no blind zones, and exceptional autonomy.

Curtain Outdoor Mini Jeweller is a practical solution for spotting intruders early. It's ideal when an opening detector can't be installed — for example, on the window frames of a historic building. Horizontal, vertical, or angled mounting allows flexible placement options, making it easy to secure compact areas and prevent unwanted access.
Two detection modes
Curtain Outdoor Mini Jeweller has Main and Pet modes activated via the slide switch on the enclosure. In the Main mode, an alarm is triggered whenever the device detects movement.
In the Pet mode, the detector ignores movement from animals of up to 3.3 ft tall.

A PIR sensor detects movement by analyzing changes in temperature within the device’s field of view. In a split second, the sensor triggers a proprietary software algorithm to check the collected data and determines whether the alarm is real.
K-band microwave sensor
The K-band microwave sensor verifies alarms triggered by the PIR sensor. It performs a radio-wave scan of an area to minimize false alarms triggered by thermal interference. The K-band sensor provides higher precision and energy efficiency compared to traditional X-band sensors. It reduces false alarms and has minimal impact on battery life. Additionally, the sensor is safe and poses no threat to health.

In armed mode, the detector continuously analyzes the thermal diagram from the PIR sensor — IR intensity, thermal spot size, movement speed, time in zone, and other parameters. The SmartDetect software algorithm reliably filters out false alarm triggers and ensures an error-free response to a person moving.

Temperature compensation
Temperature compensation maintains thermal contrast even when ambient temperature is close to the human body temperature. The detector adjusts PIR sensor data using a stored coefficient table. The device is effective throughout the entire operating temperature range.
Sensitivity levels
Curtain Outdoor Mini Jeweller has three sensitivity levels. Low sensitivity reduces the chance of the detector reacting to interference, while high sensitivity guarantees any movement in the detection zone triggers an alarm. Choosing the correct level in Ajax apps helps prevent costly false alarm dispatches.

With proper installation, the detector operates with high accuracy and reliably detects threats with minimum false alarms. Pet immunity is ensured by the hardware switch and correct mounting. On top of that, Ajax apps provide remote control, configuration, and adjustable sensitivity levels.

The device is wireless and easy to install. It runs on two pre-installed replaceable batteries, each tested before installation. The batteries provide up to three years of operation, and their status is always available in the app. PRO users and monitoring companies receive low-charge alerts months in advance — no need to rush replacements at the last minute.

Some facilities have thick walls, metal partitions, or sheer distances that affect signal quality. Ajax range extenders are designed to increase the range of a wireless network and deliver stable connection with a hub despite the obstacles. And by choosing the model with an Ethernet cable connector, you get an additional communication channel. А single system can accommodate up to five range extenders.

System supervision
All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to a hub. Essential parameters, including tamper, communication, and power supply, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for monitoring stations, security companies, and users. In case of any malfunction or communication failure, an engineer is informed immediately to provide necessary services.

Curtain Outdoor Mini Jeweller works right out of the box and spares an installer the setup headaches. The PRO can install the device using two mount options — a SmartBracket panel or an angle mount — and add the detector to the system by simply scanning a QR code. Then, they can change device settings via Ajax apps whenever necessary, on-site or remotely.
