Superior Hub Hybrid comes either in its original casing or as a board for installation into Ajax Case in combination with other devices. In the original casing, the hub's current state is always visible via LED indication. If purchased without a casing, an external LED can be connected to the hub's board and mounted outside Ajax Case. This flexibility enables installers to efficiently combine the hub with other devices and arrange them neatly within a single enclosure.

All communicators built in

Superior Hub Hybrid comes fully equipped with all necessary communicators — no additional modules are needed. Built-in radio modules provide seamless connectivity between the hub and system devices. Alarms and events are sent to the monitoring station via Ethernet or cellular communication.

Communication between the hub and system devices

WIRED

Fibra communication technology allows installers to wire lines2 up to 6,550 ft long. A single Superior Hub Hybrid can run up to 8 lines. Ajax modules that split, protect, and power the line can extend the connection distance by dozens of times.

Fibra lines are multifunctional and allow for connecting different types of devices at once. All alarms, events, and visual verification data are delivered over the same line without interference. Fibra also features robust encryption and device authentication to prevent sabotage, spoofing, and data theft.

WIRELESS

Superior Jeweller delivers Grade 3 level reliability with strong encryption and frequency hopping. It provides a radio communication range of up to 6,550 ft in open space. The protocol transmits alarms, events, and readings to Ajax apps in just 0.15 seconds.

The protocol uses polling to display current device states, enabling real-time remote system control. Automatic power adjustment makes it energy efficient by avoiding the constant use of maximum transmitter power. This ensures long-lasting operation of wireless devices on pre-installed batteries.

WIRELESS

TurboWings is a wireless technology designed for delivering photo verification data over distances of up to 5,600 ft in open space. It also functions as a fallback communication channel that transmits large data packets if the main connection is lost. Once it is restored, TurboWings automatically sends data backups from cameras and detectors to the hub.

WIRELESS

VoRF4 is a proprietary audio communication protocol that ensures seamless and secure data exchange between the hub and devices (e.g., voice modules). It enables reliable voice communication between the secured site and the monitoring station. Based on time division duplex technology, the protocol provides simultaneous two-way communication over distances of up to 5,600 ft without requiring on-site activation.

Communication with Ajax server and apps

The hub can be connected to three internet providers simultaneously: one via Ethernet and two via cellular networks. Ethernet serves as the primary channel, while two SIM cards act as backups. If the primary connection is lost, the hub automatically switches to the SIM with the strongest signal — all within seconds.

More freedom in project design

Superior Hub Hybrid supports both Superior Jeweller and Fibra communication protocols, allowing for any combination of wired and wireless devices within a single system. Installers can create the most efficient setups using three wired topologies alongside wireless connectivity. This hybrid flexibility simplifies installation, reduces costs, and ensures reliable performance across sites of any size or complexity.

Wireless connection

Ajax wireless technologies provide up to 6,550 ft of communication range in open space. Ajax range extenders can effectively double the wireless coverage and deliver a stable connection across large or complex facilities.

Wireless connection

Beam topology

Beam (radial wiring) uses one Fibra line and provides up to 6,550 ft of wired communication1 without line extenders. A single hub can support up to eight beams or a combination of beams and other topologies.

Beam topology

Ring topology

Ring uses two Fibra lines to form a hub–device–hub loop. If a line is broken, all devices remain operational — the system automatically splits into two beams. Ring offers up to 1,640 ft of wired communication and can also be combined with other topologies on the same hub.

Ring topology

Tree topology

Tree connection helps create more complex system layouts by branching the line with Fibra accessories. Superior LineSplit Fibra divides one line into four branches and extends each by 6,550 ft. Superior LineSupply Fibra provides additional power and extends the line as well.

Hybrid alarm control panel Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G)

A burglar alarm is used for timely detection of violations on the territory under protection. The purpose of the security system is to:
  1. Guaranteed detection of intrusion into the protected area.
  2. Immediately notify the security service or the owner of the threat.
These tasks are solved by installing security devices and competent equipment correctly. The choice of the type of alarm for the protection of the premises depends on several factors, important: the features of the protected space, the kind of object, the need to connect the alarm to the central console of the security company or the transmission of an alarm signal to the local security service of the object, the stage of repair or construction of the premises. A complete security alarm system includes a set of software and hardware devices. The security system usually consists of a control panel, sensors (intrusion, opening, movement, etc.), panic buttons. Data about incidents and the current situation at the guarded facility are automatically received from sensors or panic buttons when the alarm is manually activated. Security systems use IR motion sensors, reed door sensors, contact or ultrasonic glass break sensors, vibration and other types of detectors. Additionally, when used in complex fire and security alarm systems, temperature sensors, smoke detectors, and in some cases, gas and water leakage sensors in office or residential premises are connected. Stationary alarm buttons or radio key fobs are used as panic buttons. The primary device of the security alarm system is the control panel of the security system, which receives information about all events in the territory under protection. Depending on the settings and type of the control panel, it can perform several functions when an emergency detection signal is received. Typically, for continuous operation of the central alarm systems are equipped with spare communication channels and backup power supplies. When the panel receives an alarm signal, it will activate sound or light warning systems. Alarm systems are of various types and purposes. A siren or other audio-visual detectors may sound when the burglar alarm is activated. The signal can be sent to a control system or a centralized security console using a radio channel, GSM, or a telephone line. Depending on the settings, it is possible to inform users about events by SMS messages, push notifications or calls. Alarm control panels are designed to collect information from various sensors connected to them, give an alarm signal, and control multiple automation devices through built-in relays. Various types of fire and security sensors, as well as sirens, light and sound alarm detectors, critical electronic readers, control keyboards and light sources, are connected to the security system central. In addition, control panels can collect information from wireless sensors and cameras, depending on the model. In most cases, the control panel housing is made of plastic or metal, and the printed circuit board has terminal blocks for connecting wires. In some types of control panels, there is a place for the battery, and there is a power supply. A GSM module for sending messages and transmitting information can be located on the alarm control panel board or separately in the housing. Alarm control panels are programmed using utility programs using a laptop. Programming means configuring the security device to the user's needs individually.

Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) — hybrid security alarm control panel

The Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) alarm control panel is the first Ajax control panel to support the new Fibra wired devices and Jeweler wireless devices. The device controls the operation of all Ajax sensors connected to the security system. It sends an alarm signal to the owner and the security console immediately after a detected threat. The Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) alarm control panel supports photo-captured sensors and has eight independent lines with ring topology support. Provides communication range with Ajax detectors up to 2000 meters via the Jeweler radio protocol without obstacles. And Fibra wire technology allows you to create independent lines up to two km long. The operating frequencies of the control panel are 868.0-868.6 MHz. The device supports 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE Ethernet networks. Combining the two technologies allows you to build comprehensive territory protection, regardless of the size and ceilings and metal or concrete. Security is strengthened by informative messages and photo-verification of alarms, complete real-time system control from the Ajax mobile application, and customizable automation scenarios. Central security alarm Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) is made in a laconic design of durable plastic. The appearance is universal and suitable for installation in any interior.

Features of the control panel Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G)

Fibra technology Using Fibra wired technology, Superior Hub Hybrid (4G) creates independent links up to 2 km long. Eight lanes in a single system running Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) white minimize the possibility of a loss of connection and potential damage. Thanks to this principle of operation, even a complete break in one line leave the security system working by 87%. And with wireless sensors in the system, this percentage becomes higher. Jeweller technology Jeweller's two-way radio protocol allows the Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) to communicate with the system's detectors at a distance of up to 2000 meters in the absence of obstacles. Jeweller allows remote control of the security system and transmits alarms in 0.15 seconds. The wireless radio protocol uses frames to encrypt communications, protect data from theft, synchronize device communication sessions, and authenticate to prevent forgery. An energy-efficient protocol allows wireless security sensors to operate on supplied batteries for up to 7 years. Up to 5 repeaters with a communication range of up to 1800 meters can be connected to the Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) via radio or Ethernet cable. Photo verification of alarms in 9 seconds Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) supports MotionCam Outdoor and MotionCam wireless motion sensors. Sensors take a series of pictures immediately when motion is detected and allow you to evaluate what is happening on the object in dynamics. The Wings radio protocol is used to quickly transfer a series of photos and verify the delivery of photo confirmations. Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) is always online via cellular networks and cable connection Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) can be connected to three Internet providers simultaneously — via Ethernet cable and 2G cellular networks. Automatic switching between communication channels takes a few seconds. The Superior Hub Hybrid alarm control panel's backup battery can power a system of 30 wired instruments for 60 hours. And devices connected via radio do not need additional power and operate from their built-in batteries. Antisabotage With the help of the tampers on the device case, attempts to dismantle and open the subject are detected. The Ajax Cloud server polls the Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) every 10 seconds and determines its operability. In case of disconnection of wired Internet and simultaneous jamming of mobile communication frequencies, the server can inform the security console about the isolation of the object in 1 minute. The devices in the system are authenticated using unique properties and tokens that the hub verifies on every communication session. If any of the parameters does not pass the test, the control panel ignores the device commands. The procedure excludes the possibility of controlling the system by a third-party device: key fob, keyboard or smart button. Jamming and communication loss detection in less than a minute Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) analyzes the quality of communication with connected devices. If part of the packet is lost, the control panel changes frequencies to transmit information and informs the remote control about interference in the air. There is data protection by frequency hopping and encryption. All transmitted data is protected by block encryption with a floating key. In radio transmission, frequency hopping makes it challenging to intercept information and jam the signal. Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) polls devices every 12 seconds. The administrator sets the polling frequency for wireless devices, and the hub automatically determines the minimum possible interval for wired devices. Thanks to this principle of operation of the control panel, it takes 36 seconds to detect the loss of a device from communication and notify the security console about the incident. Security Automation with Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) The Superior Hub Hybrid control panel allows you to create 32 automation scenarios and minimize the impact of the human factor on safety. The Hub can manage the protection of an object or group according to a given schedule. The user can activate the house machine when entering the room, de-energise the room, turn on emergency lighting in case of fire and shut off the water in case of a leak. Superior Hub Hybrid gives you the ability to control electric locks, lights, roller shutters and garage doors — in case of a sensor alarm, change of security mode or by pressing a button. The Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) signalling central works under OS Malevich, a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. The system is protected from cyberattacks, invulnerable to viruses and highly reliable. The hardware configuration will keep the Superior Hub Hybrid control panel updated and up-to-date for years.

Installation and configuration of Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G)

The Ajax Superior Hub Hybrid (4G or 2G) control panel is easy to set up and manage. To connect, configure and provide remote access to the system, you need the Ajax Security System mobile application. The work begins with scanning the QR code on the device.
