An Ajax system allows PROs to create templates for applying several settings at once. You can apply templates to video device, hub, and intrusion device settings, enabling faster system configuration and reducing manual setup time.
This functionality is available only to companies. No more than 100 templates can be created for one company.
How to create a template
The Company owner, Senior CMS Engineer, and Head of installers can create a template using the Ajax PRO Desktop app.
To create a settings template, in the Ajax PRO Desktop app:
Go to the Company tab.
Go to the Settings templates menu.
Click the
button to add a template or the Create template button if no templates have been created yet.
Select the settings you want to save as a template:
- Hub settings
- Motion detectors
- Sirens and voice modules
- Opening and break-in detectors
- Video devices
Templates for intrusion devices can be created and configured in Ajax PRO Desktop 5.47 or later versions. To apply a template on-site, use Ajax PRO: Tool for Engineers 2.47 or later.
Enter the template name and description.

Select the device groups for which you want to create a template.
Select the settings you want to include in the template. These settings will be applied to all devices of the selected group, if supported. The list of available settings varies depending on the device group. To learn more about the settings, refer to the user manual of the corresponding device.
Set the required parameters for the selected settings.
Click Create template.
How to apply a template
The Company owner, Head of installers, and installer with system configuration rights of the company that created the template can apply it using the Ajax PRO app.
To apply the template, in the Ajax PRO app:
Select the space if you have more than one.
Go to the space settings by clicking on the gear
icon.
Tap Settings templates.
Select a template from the list.
The device groups to which the selected template applies will be displayed. Tap Select devices.
The device must be online to apply the template.
Select devices from this group to apply the corresponding template. You can find devices by name or ID, or filter them by device group, room, or security group. Tap Apply to [device number] devices.
After applying the template, a corresponding notification will appear on the screen.
How to apply a template via the hub settings
You can apply the telephony settings template via the hub settings. To do this, in the Ajax PRO or Ajax PRO Desktop app:
Select the space if you have more than one.
Go to the Devices
tab.
Select a hub from the list.
Go to the Settings menu by clicking on the gear
icon.
Select the Telephony settings option.
Go to the Choose template menu.
The Choose template menu is available if there is at least one template configured in the system.
Select a template from the list.
If necessary, review the template settings in the Company connection details menu.
Apply the settings by clicking the Apply template button.
After applying the template, a corresponding notification will appear on the screen.
