Ajax wired cameras and NVRs are now ONVIF® Profile G conformant

Ajax Systems continues to expand the capabilities of Ajax video devices. Wired cameras and NVRs are now conformant with ONVIF^® Profile G, enabling third-party VMS platforms and NVRs that conform to the same profile to access recordings stored on Ajax devices through standardized interfaces.

What is ONVIF^®

ONVIF^® — Open Network Video Interface Forum — is a global standard for integrating IP-based security devices into a unified system. Through standardized interfaces, it enables seamless communication between video cameras, NVRs, VMS platforms, and other security solutions, regardless of the manufacturer.

What ONVIF^® Profile G brings to Ajax video devices

With ONVIF^® Profile G, users can do even more with recordings stored on Ajax wired cameras and NVRs. Supported operations include:

• Playing back recordings remotely
• Accessing and retrieving stored video and audio
• Configuring and controlling recording sessions
• Searching for recordings by time using standardized ONVIF^® search functionality

ONVIF^® Profile G availability

To access ONVIF^® Profile G capabilities, Ajax wired cameras and NVRs must be updated to the following firmware versions or later:

• Wired cameras: 2.901
• NVRs: 2.751

How to configure ONVIF^® connection

Ajax video devices are already ONVIF^® Profile S conformant and implement selected capabilities from other ONVIF^® profiles.
