Challenge
Enhancing the value of modular homes with a security system that is easy to integrate and manage
Habika aimed to add value to its residential modules by offering future owners built-in security that protects both the home and personal property. The client required a solution that could be integrated into finished modular homes, where traditional wired systems would be impractical due to installation time, added cost, and the need for drilling and cable routing. Additionally, the system had to remain simple and intuitive, enabling residents to use it confidently without training.
Solution
Wireless intrusion protection with remote control and aesthetic design
For this project, Habika reached out to its security partner, ZC Ingeniería, which opted for a wireless security solution by Ajax Systems. This solution was recommended for its reliable intrusion detection and convenient remote control via a mobile app. Its fully wireless architecture allowed the system to be integrated into modular homes without additional drilling or structural modifications. At the same time, the minimalist design enabled the security devices to blend naturally into residential interiors.
The security system is built around Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, which acts as the central control unit. It links detectors and sirens, processes alarms, and connects all devices to the mobile app. With a built-in backup battery, the hub maintains system operation even during power outages, ensuring continuous protection.
The solution provides comprehensive intrusion detection at both entry points and inside the home. DoorProtect Jeweller serves as the first line of defense by monitoring entrance doors. It detects opening attempts immediately and triggers an alarm at the earliest stage of an intrusion. MotionProtect Jeweller detectors are installed to identify unauthorized movement indoors. With this setup in place, residents can leave their homes without worrying about the safety of their property.
If an intrusion is detected, the system activates clear audible and visible alerts both inside and outside the home, drawing attention and exposing intruders. HomeSiren Jeweller emits a powerful signal indoors when an alarm is triggered. At the same time, StreetSiren Jeweller alerts people in the surrounding outdoor area using sound and light indication. This configuration helps deter intruders before they can cause damage.
In addition to intrusion protection, Habika equips its modular homes with a 2-in-1 Ajax solution that combines security and fire safety within a single system. In this configuration, the setup includes FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke/CO) Jeweller, which detects smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide. The device ensures residents are alerted to fire hazards at the earliest stage.
Ajax makes everyday interaction with the security system intuitive and straightforward, both on site and remotely. Installed near the entrance, KeyPad Jeweller allows residents to arm or disarm the system using a personal code. Meanwhile, the mobile Ajax app enables remote system control, real-time notifications, and instant access to the status of all connected devices.
Optionally, the system can be connected to a monitoring company. This allows system alarms to be transmitted directly to a monitoring station and ensures a timely, professional response in the event of an incident.
