Outlet [type F] Jeweller is a smart built-in outlet featuring electricity consumption monitoring. The device is controlled via Ajax apps. Outlet's capabilities are best revealed in automation scenarios. For example, the system can automatically turn on outlets according to the schedule or turn off all outlets when arming the premises or in case of a fire alarm. Outlets can be used with LightSwitch smart switches.

Turn plugged devices on and off in the Ajax app — the control screen is always at hand. Make sure all the outlets are off, even a thousand kilometers from home. And if you forgot, correct the situation with one tap.

Touch button control

A discreet touch button in the corner of the cover offers the convenience of instant powering the plugged device on or off. There is no need to use the app every time to turn off the appliance.

Auto power off timer

Don’t worry about overconsumption of electricity. Set the power to turn off automatically after the selected period, from 10 seconds to 2 hours.

Overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating protection

Outlet protects your appliances from sudden power surges that can heat components and wires in electronic appliances and cause them to burn out. Outlet interrupts power supply to appliances and electronics in case of under- and overvoltage.

The device features a grounding contact to prevent electric shock and overheating protection to reduce the risk of fires.

Current load visualization

As soon as the connected appliance starts consuming electricity, the Outlet LEDs change color depending on the load level in real time. It helps to define the most power-consuming devices.

It’s possible to configure the LED indication mode in the app: you can turn it off completely or display it only when Outlet is turned on.

Childproofing

Safety shutters prevent children from accessing the outlet and sticking fingers or objects inside. They also protect the device from dust and splashes.

It is also possible to turn off the touch button or to remotely turn off Outlet. This will prevent the child from accidentally turning something on or off.

Power consumption monitoring via the app

Outlet monitors the power consumption of the connected appliance: current, voltage, and energy consumption. This data is displayed in the app in real time and helps to identify energy vampires affecting electricity bills.

The history of electricity consumption is also available in the app. The user can see how much a particular appliance has consumed over a certain period.

Automation for comfort and security

Use scenarios to make life safer and more comfortable. Set the power to turn off automatically when arming the system or in case of an emergency. Turn on specific appliances according to a schedule or when LightSwitch Jeweller is on.

Outlet capabilities are provided by the hub — the brain of the Ajax system. The hub can be connected to 4 internet providers simultaneously via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or two 2G/3G/LTE cellular networks ready for backup. Automatic switching between channels takes seconds.

Hub runs on OS Malevich, a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. OS Malevich is highly stable, immune to viruses, and protected from cyberattacks. The automation scenarios are executed on the hub level, so they will keep running even without connection with the server.

All the device functions can be fully revealed only when Outlet is paired with a hub. Reliance is not placed on popular technologies such as Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, ZigBee, or Bluetooth.

Instead, the Ajax system uses reliable two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. It provides block cipher encryption and device authentication at each communication session with the hub to prevent sabotage, spoofing, or data theft.

For complex radio signal conditions, the ReX Jeweller range extender boosts the range of all Ajax devices and manages their communication with the hub via Jeweller. And ReX 2 Jeweller assures stable communication even through steel and concrete via Ethernet using the wire as the additional communication channel. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within one Ajax system to expand the network twice as big, covering multistorey buildings with underground parking and basements.

Intuitive installation and connection

Outlet can be added to the system via QR code. Device is configured in the app in a few clicks. The depth of OutletCore is 38 mm, so a smart outlet can be installed instead of the old one — no need to replace the mounting box and wiring. The front panels are available in different colours and can be quickly replaced without rewiring the outlet.
