Comfort and security with one touch

LightSwitch is a convenient device for controlling one or more light sources manually or using the Ajax app. The new switches respond even to light touches. Moreover, it is enough just to approach a hand, elbow, knee, or any part of the body close to LightSwitch — and it will respond without physical contact. High-quality sensors prevent accidental activation and ensure the light switch responds only when needed. Additionally, the soft backlight makes it easy to find the switch in the dark.

A single switch can control all the switches in a facility, so a single tap in an Ajax app can turn on/off the light in a large office or warehouse. Yet, LightSwitch not only makes it easy to control the lights but also provides a variety of automation scenarios that enhance a security system. For example, the switches can turn the light on/off by schedule to simulate an owner’s presence or turn the light on in response to a fire alarm to facilitate evacuation. 

The Ajax apps provide real-time informative notifications and an event log, enabling users to monitor any changes remotely. A control screen is always at hand. Make sure all the lights are off even being far away from home or an office.

Automated light control

With Ajax smart switches, lighting automation scenarios are numerous. The switches can be automatically activated by arming/disarming an Ajax security system or when any device in the system, for example, an opening detector or motion detector, is triggered. This way, the lights might deter an intruder.

Also, any LightSwitch can be used to activate other Ajax devices. The switch can control Socket Jeweller, WaterStop Jeweller, Relay Jeweller, or WallSwitch Jeweller to automate routine actions. 

Use LightSwitch to turn off the lights and simultaneously lower roller shutters. Situations like a homeowner or office worker forgetting to close a roller shutter are now excluded. Just set up an automation scenario for the relay that controls roller shutters. Add LightSwitch and Relay Jeweller to the Ajax hub via the app. Then, in the Scenarios menu, select By switch actuating so that when LightSwitch turns off, it automatically sends a command to the relay to lower the shutters.

Automation scenarios are executed on the hub level, so they will keep running even without a connection with the server. All automation scenarios are configured in the Ajax apps. Whichever automation scenario is used, it is executed in less than a second and recorded in the event log.

LightSwitch [120] Jeweller series is designed to bring smart lighting control with ease. These new switches can replace existing ones without requiring new wiring. The devices feature a form factor that aligns with the typical dimensions of NA mounting boxes. They also do not require a neutral wire.

LightSwitch [120] Jeweller series is rated for light bulbs up to 500 W, making it compatible compatible with a wide range of lighting fixtures, from dim bedside lamps to bright ceiling lights.

Light that never fails

Devices of the LightSwitch [120] Jeweller series are free from concerns related to Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, ZigBee, or Bluetooth connectivity. Instead, they use Jeweller — a proprietary two-way radio communication protocol. Jeweller technology is stable and ensures continuous device operation without sudden disconnections.

Jeweller protocol transmits data between the light switches and the Ajax hub over a distance of up to 3,600 ft. This is, on average, longer than competing solutions can provide. The hub can be connected to up to four internet providers simultaneously via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or two 2G/3G/LTE cellular networks.
