Ajax Systems is excited to introduce Outlet (basic), a new series of regular built-in outlets designed to complement the existing series of Ajax smart outlets and light switches. In contrast to Ajax smart outlets, the basic ones cannot be added to an Ajax system or controlled via Ajax apps. However, both basic and smart outlets share identical design and color options. It allows users to maintain a cohesive aesthetic throughout a facility, pairing the basic outlets with the Ajax smart outlets and light switches.
Functional elements
The Outlet (basic) series is designed with customization and versatility in mind. The series is represented by two models — Outlet (basic) [type E] and Outlet (basic) [type F], which differ only in the plug type. These prefabricated devices consist of three components: a core, cover, and frame. All components are purchased separately and installed by attaching them to each other. This enables users to create a unified electrical configuration that fits their needs.

Core connects directly to the electrical wiring and is paired with a colored cover. Frame enables the side-by-side installation of Ajax light switches and outlets. It can accommodate 2 to 5 devices, allowing them to be installed horizontally or vertically. When the outlet is installed as a standalone device, cover and frame come as a single component. This provides various installation options to meet the requirements of each unique space.

The elegant style of the Outlet (basic) series complements any interior and is available in eight colors: Black, White, Fog, Grey, Oyster, Olive, Graphite, and Ivory.
The deviceʼs aesthetic can either stand out as a sleek accent or blend discreetly into the background, making it suitable for various environments — from cozy residential settings to contemporary workspaces. Cover can be easily and quickly changed, so the device matches with existing decor. Also, users can easily update the look during renovations or when moving to a new space.
Since Outlet (basic) devices share identical design and colors with Ajax smart outlets and light switches, users can seamlessly combine them in one space without compromising design consistency. This versatility ensures a cohesive environment while integrating smart technologies.
Reliable hardware
The hardware of the Outlet (basic) series is engineered for reliable, high-performance operation. Core is rated for an output power of up to 3.6 kW with a maximum load current of 16 A, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
Both Outlet (basic) [type E] and Outlet (basic) [type F] have grounding terminals and safety shutters. These shutters prevent children from accessing the outlet or inserting objects inside it, reducing the risk of electric shock. The shutters also shield the device from dust and water splashes.
Designed for indoor use, the Ajax basic outlets can operate within a temperature range of –10 °C to +40 °C and up to 75% relative humidity without condensation. This durability ensures reliable performance in various residential, commercial, and light industrial settings.
Quick and easy installation
Core is designed for blending into any environment. With its shallow 29 mm depth, it can be installed in standard wall mounting boxes without the need for extensive modifications or changes to existing wiring. This means that Ajax basic outlets can easily replace any existing wall outlet.
Benefits of the Outlet (basic) series
The Outlet (basic) series offers significant advantages for users who want to integrate non-smart outlets within their Ajax system. In many cases, there’s no need for all lighting appliances to be smart. For example, upgrading every outlet to a smart model may not provide significant benefits in a home or office with the installed WallSwitch Jeweller relay, which controls the power grid.
