Ajax Systems supported the Ukrainian national team at the first International Cyber Olympiad in AI for school students (ICOA 2026). The company was among the partners that funded the team's logistics, accommodations, and participation in the competition.
The olympiad was held in Sydney, Australia, and brought together 65 participants from 20 countries. Despite strong competition, our high school students won four awards: gold and two bronze in the main program and silver in the special Pioneer Round. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian team placed third in the overall team medal standings.
The team was represented by four students from Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava region, and Odesa. Earlier, they passed a nationwide selection process and underwent an intensive training program at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
ICOA is an international olympiad focused on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence that addresses current industry challenges. Participants solve cybersecurity tasks using AI models, as well as explore vulnerabilities in AI systems.
Participating in international olympiads is crucial. First, it motivates students to excel and strive to be the best in Ukraine. Second, competition drives growth. Stepping onto the international stage is essential for young people to become world-class professionals. And third, it helps strengthen Ukraine's image. We have so many talented young people, so let's show their achievements to the world. That is why we see the development of the olympiad movement as an extremely important priority and a key focus for us.
Supporting ICOA 2026 was Ajax Systems' first project focused on cybersecurity and AI education for school students. The initiative was implemented through Ajax Next, the company's long-term program dedicated to advancing technical education in Ukraine.
In 2026, Ajax Systems expanded the Ajax Next program, supporting 120 Ukrainian students across seven international olympiads and tournaments in mathematics, physics, robotics, cybersecurity, and AI. Most teams returned with medals. Additionally, the company funded two mathematics camps for 180 students.
For Ajax Systems, these initiatives represent a strategic investment in the next generation of Ukrainian engineers and researchers.
