Client
EMEC (Emergencias Clínicas S.R.L.)
Partner: EXPASA
EMEC (Emergencias Clínicas S.R.L.) is an occupational health service provider based in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. The company operates mobile medical offices and nursing facilities to provide on-site medical care at industrial and corporate sites.
Challenge
Delivering 24/7 intrusion protection for a medical unit in a dynamic environment
Mobility adds complexity to protecting high-value medical equipment. The trailer lacks fixed infrastructure and a constant power source, which makes wired solutions not viable.
In terms of monitoring, constant movement makes rapid response more challenging. The unit spends long periods in transit, stops in remote locations, and is particularly vulnerable during overnight downtime. This requires a security solution that protects continuously but generates no false alarms that can lead to costly and unnecessary response dispatches.
Solution
Wireless security system with advanced detection and years-long autonomy
EXPASA, the client's security service provider, opted for a fully wireless Ajax security system. The solution combines reliable indoor and outdoor detection technologies, robust communication, and up to seven years of battery life, which makes it perfectly tailored for mobile use.
At the core of the system is Hub (4G) Jeweller — a long-range wireless control panel with 4G connectivity. The hub's extensive coverage delivers a stable connection throughout the trailer, even in the presence of signal-blocking obstacles, such as metal partitions and high-interference medical equipment. With a 4G SIM card installed, the hub doesn't require Ethernet for stable online connectivity.

Motion within the protected area is captured by a combination of outdoor and indoor detectors. DualCurtain Outdoor Jeweller creates an invisible perimeter barrier on the rear side of the trailer, detecting intruders before they reach the windows. Inside the unit, MotionProtect Jeweller devices protect hallways and consulting rooms.

Both types of motion detectors distinguish between real intrusions and common false alarm sources, such as passing animals. Adjustable detection zones, temperature compensation, and smart algorithms such as ELSA and SmartDetect ensure accurate motion detection in any environment. This is especially important for a mobile medical unit operating in constantly changing conditions.

Entry points of the unit are secured with DoorProtect Jeweller. The device detects opening events at the main entrance and internal doors, such as those leading to the X-ray room. Protected against contact chatter, the detector ignores false triggers caused by accidental vibrations, for example, when the trailer moves over uneven terrain.

If an alarm is triggered, StreetSiren Jeweller immediately exposes intruders. The siren deters them with a powerful sound signal while alerting those nearby. A bright LED frame adds clear visual indication, especially effective at night.
Thoughtful design and app-based operation allowed the system to be ready in just hours, without construction work or lengthy configuration. After setup, users immediately gain access to the system via Ajax apps. The apps also provide full visibility into alarms and events, which are simultaneously reported to the EXPASA monitoring station for professional response.
Why Ajax
Wireless flexibility and long battery life. Wireless Ajax devices enable the deployment of a security system in mobile facilities without fixed infrastructure. Thanks to long battery life, the solution reduces the need for on-site maintenance, making it ideal for locations with limited access to service.
Stable communication in high-interference environments. A long communication range ensures a stable connection between system devices, even through obstacles. The system operates reliably in places filled with equipment.
Advanced security solution for a mobile trailer. Ajax goes beyond simple car alarms, offering a comprehensive security system. It provides multi-layer detection and deterrence, convenient in-app control for end users, and integration with monitoring services for professional response.
