From late November through January, they set up market stalls in Piazza Trento e Trieste — a square at the heart of Ferrara, Italy. Protecting a festive venue after hours against theft, damage, and vandalism
Consorzio Festa del Regalo helps create a cheerful Christmas atmosphere for thousands of visitors throughout the holiday season. But among the daily customers and passersby, there is always someone who might return at night to steal or damage the merchants' property. To keep products safe across all 24 stalls when the market is closed, the merchants needed a reliable security solution.
Because the business is seasonal, installing a fixed security system with a lengthy setup period was not an option. The client required a solution that was flexible, easy to deploy, and fast to set up — without compromising reliability.
Solution
Wireless detection and alert system with native monitoring capabilities
To meet the security needs of the multi-stall venue, the client's security provider, Top Secret Vigilanza, recommended a wireless Ajax security system. The monitoring company trusted this solution for its reliable detection, instant alarm transmission, and convenient monitoring tools. They also appreciated the system's minimalistic design: the discreet devices blended in without disrupting the festive decor.
The system is built around the Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller control panel. As the core of the setup, the hub ensures secure communication with all connected devices as well as transmits alarms and events to the monitoring center. With support for up to 100 devices, a single hub is enough to protect all 24 stalls.

Each market stall is fully equipped to protect the gift assortment after closing hours, when the stalls are most vulnerable to theft and vandalism. DoorProtect Jeweller opening detectors provide immediate protection for stall doors, responding to unauthorized access to the goods. At the same time, MotionProtect Jeweller motion detectors monitor the interior of each stall, spotting any unwanted visitors. Both devices are designed to provide accurate detection and immediately notify Top Secret Vigilanza staff of security threats.
An intrusion attempt is impossible to ignore — for the monitoring company and for people around the market. StreetSiren DoubleDeck Jeweller exposes intruders with a 113 dB sound alert and bright LED flashes. The outdoor siren acts not only as a deterrent but also as a marketing tool: Top Secret Vigilanza placed their logo on the faceplate to promote the company's services.
