Annual report 2024

2024 kept the Ajax team busy, and as the year has come to a close, we proudly celebrate the results. Our portfolio reached 180 products, growing by 45 unique devices across all categories in just one year, while software saw 56 updates. We also introduced the expansion of Ajax Services, marking an exciting new chapter for the company.

Ajax Systems received 20 awards that aptly reflect the company’s core priorities. Professional communities worldwide acknowledged the innovativeness of our hardware and software, the sleek design of the products, and the impact of our communication effort. What’s more, Ajax Systems was recognized as the best manufacturer in the industry three times over the year.

Brand-new portfolio segmentation

Ajax Systems undertook a strategic change to the segmentation of its fast-growing portfolio to make it clear and intuitive for every partner. The company introduced four categories — Intrusion protection, Fire and life safety, Comfort and automation, and Video surveillance — that marked key directions in its business development.

Baseline and Superior product lines were reimagined. Baseline now encompasses wireless Jeweller devices for intrusion only, while Superior includes wireless Jeweller and wired Fibra devices for high-profile projects. The Superior products will also undergo renaming to ensure they are easily recognizable. The changes are to be implemented by the end of 2025.

Ajax Special Event: Multiverse

On November 21, 2024, Ajax Systems hosted its sixth Ajax Special Event, an annual showcase of the company’s latest technologies and devices. This year’s presentations focused on four universes, representing Ajax product categories — Intrusion protection, Fire and life safety, Comfort and automation, and Video surveillance. The Ajax team highlighted how all the categories seamlessly integrated within the Ajax ecosystem or so-called Multiverse. This integration delivers not only a better experience for end users but also unlocks infinite business opportunities for Ajax partners.

Corporate social responsibility

Advancing technical education in Ukraine

Ajax remains committed to its mission of supporting the next generation of engineers in Ukraine. A key highlight of this effort was the launch of Ajax Next, an educational initiative designed to promote engineering skills.

With the slogan “Engineer your career,” Ajax has introduced training programs and internships in collaboration with Ukraine’s leading technical universities. As part of these projects, Ajax engineers share their expertise, provide mentorship, and guide interns in developing their own projects in hardware engineering, mechanical engineering, and embedded systems engineering.

Another focus of the initiative is equipping educational institutions with modern engineering tools. Technical university students now have access to the same equipment used by Ajax engineers, including new computers, microcontrollers, optical devices, and other advanced machinery. These resources, available in four newly equipped labs, enable students to bring their ideas to life in a professional engineering environment.

Thanks to the Ajax Next initiative, over a thousand students have had the opportunity to explore engineering careers early in their studies. They’ve gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Many have now joined the Ajax team and are taking their first steps in real-world projects.

Updates on Air Alert app

Since its launch in the early days of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Air Alert app continues to protect lives. Developed in collaboration with Stfalcon and supported by Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation, the app delivers real-time alerts for six types of threats. With 26 million downloads and more than 6 million active users daily, the app remains a critical safety tool in Ukraine.

However, today, the app's role extends beyond emergency alerts. Its integration with Ukraine's national mental health program "How Are You?", initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, offers users at-fingertips psychological support. Along with the push notification about the end of an air raid, users can receive exercises and tips aimed at helping stabilize their emotional state.

Also, the Air Alert app proves to be invaluable for fundraising. In 2024, the app partnered with the non-governmental organization AZOV.ONE. This collaboration gave rise to the Shield and Pulse fundraising campaign to support the medical service needs of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov. The Air Alert app yet again shows the capacity to mobilize the resources for critical needs, just as it previously happened with initiatives like Safe Skies and Drone Army.

The international recognition confirms the project's high value. Ajax Systems was honored with the European Excellence Awards for the Air Alert app. This prestigious award highlights outstanding communication and socially significant initiatives across Europe.

Ajax Roadshow: Rule your space

In early 2024, the Ajax team rolled out Roadshow: Rule your space. It is a series of offline events that introduced existing and potential Ajax partners to the company's cutting-edge solutions for security, safety, and automation. However, Ajax video surveillance products, namely NVR and wired IP cameras — TurretCam, BulletCam, and DomeCam Mini — were in the spotlight of the events.

The event took place in 26 countries. South America, the UK, Cyprus, South Africa, and the Baltics welcomed the event for the first time ever. The participants could not only explore the latest Ajax products in action but also engage in professional networking and boost their expertise.

Partner Portal: more efficiency, more clients

Partner Portal, a platform for collaboration between Ajax Systems and its partners, reached a significant milestone. This year it became available in every region where Ajax operates. The platform also received several enhancements that made it even more popular among our partner companies.

Partner Insights Dashboard is a powerful tool designed to give partners a complete overview of performance metrics. It helps businesses optimize their workflows and achieve more as it provides data on lead processing, product sales, hub installations, and other vital indicators.

Image

Partner Insights Dashboard

Advanced lead distribution is a new feature designed to optimize the incoming leads among partners. If a partner does not respond to a client request within a specified period, the lead is reassigned to another partner. This approach minimizes unprocessed leads, ensures client satisfaction, and encourages partners to seize incoming opportunities in a fair competition.

Specializations are badges that represent a partner’s expertise in Ajax products and are granted on the completed Ajax Academy courses and certificates obtained. Displayed on the Where to buy page, these badges reassure potential customers of the quality of the services they receive. Partners, on the other hand, benefit from a competitive edge as the badges highlight their qualifications compared to other listed companies.

A few more released and upcoming updates to the Partner Portal are:

  • News section for Ajax partners to have easy access to all essential info: product and feature releases, new Ajax Academy courses, events, and more.
  • Automatic Authorized Partner certificates. Now, they are generated as soon as a partner meets the requirements. This eliminates waiting time or the need to reach out to a local Ajax manager.
  • Achievements (coming soon). It is a reward system for partners, which is based on their performance. Use the system to track progress, motivate the team, and celebrate successes.
  • Customizable Ajax system configurator (coming soon). It is a ready-to-use tool designed to collect leads and deliver them directly to the Partner Portal. Available to Authorized Partners only, the configurator displays the partner’s actual offer, pricing, and branding. The tool’s pilot launch will happen in Ukraine.

Web tools for pre-installation efficiency

In its never-ending pursuit to make the lives of its security professionals easier, Ajax Systems introduced a few web tools focused on facilitating sales and project planning. Now, they can make use of:

  • Updated Ajax system configurator. Just as before, it enables end users to build an Ajax system by answering a short questionnaire. What’s new, though, is that a partner can now access the leads with complete information on their needs in the Partner Portal and easily generate comprehensive and visually appealing commercial offers.
  • Video storage calculator. This tool helps to calculate the required storage capacity and estimated recording time for NVRs or cameras depending on video streaming settings. The results can be downloaded in PDF format.
  • Video device calculator. This webtool simplifies the system design process by determining the number of Ajax cameras, third-party cameras, and NVRs that can be connected to a specific space.

Ajax Academy

Ajax Academy continues to grow and provide partners with up-to-date knowledge on Ajax products and best practice in the industry. The number of the Academy’s students showed overwhelming growth by 75% in just one year. The team created many hours of unique video content and released Baseline Intrusion and PRO Desktop courses, Getting Started with Ajax lecture, and a detailed demo of Ajax cameras. Most of the materials are available in multiple languages to ensure that learning is accessible to everyone.

Ajax Systems remains committed to developing high-quality educational content. Stay tuned for the upcoming Superior course, covering wired and wireless devices for high-profile projects, updated Basic course, and a lecture on fire and life safety from a top industry expert.
