Ajax apps can notify the users of hub looses connection with the server using a standard push-notification sound or a siren sound (enabled by default).

The system notifies the user of events that occur after the hub loses connection with the server. Notifications in the events feed include the date and time when the events occurred. If there is more than one event, they are grouped together in a drop-down list. The number of events stored in the hub buffer can be set in the hub settings.

ajax alarm
  • Push notifications are sent by the Ajax Cloud server over the internet to the user’s Ajax app.

The system allows users to customize their alarm push notification preferences to ensure they don’t miss critical events while avoiding unnecessary alerts. Access to configuration options depends on user permissions:

  • An admin or a PRO with system configuration rights can configure push preferences for all users within the current space.

  • A user without system configuration rights can configure only their own push notification preferences.

If some users do not have access to the notification feed in the app, they cannot receive push notifications.

  • SMS are sent to the phone number provided by the user when creating an Ajax account.

  • A phone call is the hub calling the phone number specified in the Ajax app account.

We call only in the event of an alarm to get your attention and reduce the feasibility of you missing a critical alert. It is recommended that you enable this type of notification. The hub consecutively calls all users who have enabled this type of notification in the order specified in Users Settings. The hub calls every 2 minutes at most. The call is automatically dropped as soon as you answer it. The hub does not call again if the call was dropped or unanswered.

To reduce the possibility of missing an alert, we recommend you enable all types of notification for this type of system events.

Ajax notifies of events only users added to the hub and the security company.
