As part of this commitment, the company has worked closely with the British Standards Institution (BSI) — a globally recognized organization providing testing, quality assurance, and certification services.
Through this partnership, FireProtect 2 detectors received BSI Kitemark certificates and met the requirements for UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking, as well as the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR). In addition, the smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors met UK PSTI requirements, strengthening trust in Ajax technologies among consultants, regulators, insurers, partners, and end users worldwide.
The certification process behind the scenes
For Ajax Systems, certification was more than a formality. It provided an opportunity to thoroughly assess products, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
As part of the certification process, BSI performs ongoing surveillance and audits, inspecting manufacturing operations and production consistency in detail. These auditors verify production conditions, component traceability, quality assurance procedures, and testing workflows to ensure every certified device continues to meet requirements over time. This oversight helps Ajax Systems maintain consistently high standards and supports continuous improvement.
