Located in Córdoba, Argentina, the solar park is a remote facility with extensive external infrastructure. Its large perimeter, entry points, and technical zones require continuous intrusion protection and access control during daily activities. These measures are essential for safeguarding costly equipment and ensuring personnel safety.
Challenge
Protect the solar park, reducing unnecessary site visits and enabling remote equipment control.
The client had several requirements for the solution, shaped by the site's scale and routines. The large perimeter required reliable intrusion protection across a wide outdoor space. The setup also had to support independent protection of different zones and role-based access control to keep personnel out of restricted areas for safety reasons. In addition, the client sought remote and automated control of marine sirens and climate equipment.

To cover the solar park's needs, MAC MONITOREO recommended an Ajax security system.
The setup was built around Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, which supports Ethernet and 4G communication channels for stable connectivity with the remote site. These channels help users always stay informed about site events and manage the setup remotely. Thanks to the proprietary Jeweller radio protocol, a single control panel was enough to maintain reliable communication with Ajax devices across the extensive facility.
The provided communication range allowed installers to build perimeter protection efficiently with DualCurtain Outdoor Jeweller. Installed every 100 ft on 14 poles, these detectors monitor motion in both directions, securing the site perimeter against intrusion.
The setup also covers access points to the facility. DoorProtect Jeweller detectors were mounted on the entry gates, with their external inputs wired to industrial magnetic contacts.
The transformer area received a dedicated intrusion protection setup with MotionCam Outdoor Jeweller. When motion is detected, the device captures a series of photos and sends them to Ajax apps and the monitoring company. Photo verification provides visual context of the events, helping distinguish between real intrusions and animals entering the site. This reduces unnecessary patrol dispatches and associated costs.
For the inverter container, which houses essential equipment for the facility's daily operation, the setup combines intrusion protection and automation devices. DoorProtect Jeweller detects unauthorized opening of doors, while MotionProtect Jeweller provides accurate motion detection inside the container. HomeSiren Jeweller ensures on-site alerts and indicates the area's security state.
To maintain stable operation of the inverter equipment, LifeQuality Jeweller monitors temperature inside the container. If readings fall outside the set thresholds, WallSwitch Jeweller automatically turns on connected climate equipment to restore optimal conditions.
For emergency alerting across the site, marine sirens were installed. Relay Jeweller activates these third-party devices — manually or by scenario — enabling their remote control in case of emergency.
All system interactions are handled through Ajax apps, which makes daily control simple and straightforward. Group-based control allows different zones to have separate security states. With access rights assigned by group, security personnel and technical staff can manage areas according to their roles. Authorized users can also activate sirens and manually operate climate equipment when necessary.
