The homeowner then reached out to CCTV Aware, who stepped in to implement a multi-layered security solution using the full versatility of the Ajax ecosystem.

The old system was inflexible, unable to support new devices or features, and no longer met the homeowner's growing needs.
The new setup had to integrate a wide range of devices, enable flexible control over specific areas, and remain simple enough for the homeowner to manage independently — without relying on professional monitoring. The system also needed to scale effortlessly, adapting to the property's layout, accommodating future upgrades, and allowing new components to be added with no hassle or downtime.

A wireless security system that unifies intrusion protection, fire safety, and automation — scalable and easy to manage independently.
At the core of the setup is Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, a control panel that links all devices and ensures encrypted communication across the system. With support for up to 200 devices, the hub was chosen specifically to accommodate the existing setup while leaving room for future expansion. Additionally, ReX 2 Jeweller range extender helps the radio signal effectively bypass obstacles such as thick walls, ensuring stable communication throughout the entire property.
The site also features a layered intrusion protection system that ensure fast and reliable threat detection. Outdoors, DualCurtain Outdoor Jeweller and MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller motion detectors secure the perimeter. If an alarm is triggered, the MotionCam device provides visual verification, allowing the client to instantly assess the situation. Meanwhile, StreetSiren Jeweller emits a loud 80–100 dB alarm — enough to alert the entire household and deter intruders.
Indoors, the system secures entry points with DoorProtect Plus Jeweller. MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller further enhances intrusion protection by detecting movement and supporting scheduled or on-demand photo capture. This gives the owner peace of mind even when away from home. Finally, the discreet HomeSiren Jeweller delivers a robust acoustic response to deter intruders instantly.
Since installing my Ajax security system, I have experienced a few instances where the system detected potential threats. In each case, I received immediate notifications, allowing me to take appropriate action. So far, the activations have usually been due to human error rather than the system being oversensitive. FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller ensures reliable safety thanks to Ajax's patented smoke chamber technology that accurately detects smoke while ignoring steam. The detector is designed to resist dust and block insects, reducing the risk of false alarms or obstructions. As a result, the detector requires no regular maintenance.
The automation layer adds both convenience and safety. WallSwitch Jeweller and Relay Jeweller control LED security lighting and garage gates, while Socket (type G) Jeweller manages appliances and monitors energy consumption. When motion is detected near the perimeter, automation scenarios can close the garage door or switch on the lights to give the impression that someone is home. These actions can run automatically based on schedule or security mode — or be launched manually, for example, with Button Jeweller.

LifeQuality Jeweller monitors air quality and comfort indicators such as CO₂, temperature, and humidity. It is an essential addition for maintaining everyday well-being, not just responding to emergencies.
The system can be controlled via Ajax apps and KeyPad Plus Jeweller, both offering a flexible and convenient way to change the security mode and run scenarios. The experience is seamless and intuitive — a feature that the client particularly appreciated.
For high-risk situations, DoubleButton Jeweller serves as a dedicated panic button. When both buttons are pressed simultaneously, it instantly raises an alarm, instantly alerting all system users to the threat.
Every part of the system works flawlessly, brought together in a single interface — the Ajax app — responsive and always at hand. The client uses it to arm and disarm specific areas of the property, monitor device states in real time, configure scenarios, and receive instant alerts. With transparent activity logs, security groups, and instant notifications, he stays fully informed and in control.
